(Third Attempt at writing a Good Lyric around a Wonderful Hook...let me know if I should Go-For-Four...Thanks!}
There Are Millions of Lonely People On Any-Given-Night, They're Out-There... Searchin'-For-Answers, Makin'-Things-Right Listening-For-Truth, While Havin' Serious Doubts-There...
(PRE-) We've Been Through All-That We've Already Been..To Hell-&-Back
(CHORUS) & There's A REASON FOR "us" We've Felt The Fire Been Burned-Before..By Other-Desires There's A REASON FOR "US" Why Our Love's Alive Could The Reason Be.."We Survived"?
There Are Millions of People Who Just-Get-By Gave Up Their Dreams & Settled-for-Less Who Never Found The Real Love-of-Their-Life Who Never Achieved That Total-Success...
(PRE-) But We Have Never-Quit Through Blood-&-Sweat..Tears-&-Spit
(REPEAT CHORUS)
(BRIDGE) I Know The Gods Were Laughing, When I First-Heard Your Name But WE Got The Last-Laugh in..Because..You Felt-The-Same
(CHORUS) & There's A REASON FOR "US" We Love This Fire We Share The Same Desires Yeah, There's A REASON FOR "US" Why We-Go-On & The Reason IS..Love Makes US Strong--

Hey stan Nice lyrics... I love it. In fact im writing a song in our language similar to this but in the feel of darius rucker song This. But i decided to give it the guy who sing our song life goes on to get a new fresh melody because i dont want to sound like darius... SAd to say our song never made it.. some british pop genre or too gay song was declared winner. Not a biker feel in my opinion.
Looking forward to polished it and Michael PM me to see his suggestion hope it can give a little more global feel eh.
Regarding this newfound baby what type of music you are into this.
No sugs here see what others will comment to this HIT.

Hey Stan, Suggestions below, keep or sweep One thing I wonder about: title is "There's A reason for us", yet you give several reasons... There Are Millions of Lonely People On Any-Given-Night, They're Out-There...( I know you're using this as a rhyme for [color:#FF0000]doubts there, but it's not needed since you've already stated they exist in the first line..[/color]) Searchin'-For-Answers, Makin'-Things-Right Listening-For-Truth, While Havin' Serious Doubts-There... (PRE-) But We Have Never-Quit Through Blood-&-Sweat..Tears-&- Spit <<--Not sure the audience would like this...:)

G'Mornin' Doc-Migo, & Hey, Thanks Again for Trying to win that Contest..I thought You & The Band did a Fine Job on it/The Video was Excellent..& Who ever Knows Exactly WHAT the Judges were lookin'-FOR--Contests are such Crap-Shoots!!!
I've currently been-asked to pen a Jingle for the "Holy Hog Barbecue" here in town...so I gotta carefully weave-in some Biker-ese, yet not scare-away the Yuppie-Urban Set...it's Quite a 15-30 Second Challenge!
Music-Wise, on this one...Hmmmm.... Sorta Heavily-Orchestrated Folk-Pop, I guess. (I deliberately altered my Usual Line-Length, Structure, Scanning, & Rhyme-Schemes so this'd sound "Different".) I'd read a quote by Paul McCartney in Rolling Stone..where he liked ALL the covers on Eleanor Rigby...& that "All the lonely people" Line came back to haunt me...& stick 'em in This One..Twice..heh!
I'm a Darius Fan, too...what a Classic Set of Pipes the guy HAS, eh?
Waal, Many Thanks for Your Kind Visit on this one, Doc...& continued Good Luck on alla Yours, too! Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

HiDee ShayneMeister-Migo!
Just hadda pen one on Contentment-&-Survival after the Sad Ones...heh!!! (I figgered We'd-Earned-It...) ;-)>
Yeah, the Reason is sort of a "2-Parter"...We Survived because Love Made US Strong(er). Love can certainly go The Other Way...look at all those Millions Out There..heh!
Opening Couplet gives ya WHO (The Millions) WHEN (On any Given-Night) and WHERE (They're Out-There)...Followed by 2 Lines of WHAT...heh! (Mz Smythe's Jr High Journalism Class would be SO Proud I never forgot how to write a good Lead!!!) ;-)>
Hadda use "Spit"..it was either that or "Pee"..heh-heh...to indicate that, yeah, we've had a few Spats..&..I WAS running outta body fluids there..especially Airplayable-Ones... KNOW it's un-romantic as Hell...
But..betcha You Remember this line...a week from now...? ;-)>
I'll admit to "Guilty" on the Doubled-Reason, when it's Fine-Tooth-Combed. Just didn't think mere "Survival" of a Couple was completely a Good-Enough Answer. Could just REPEAT the Prior CHORUS..tho I'm fond of the Changed-&-Improved-Upon one it now ends up-with, warts-&-all!
Many Thanks, Kind Amigo I Owe Countless Steak Dinners-To, for Your Kind Visit & Critique on This One!
Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Hi Stan!
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. I haven't been on the boards much due to school and work but I am now unemployed so I'll be around more...missed it here!
I like this a lot! You have really been showing your romantic side lately. It's very nice! Shayne mentioned that you give more than one "reason" which messes up your hook and title. I think there may be an easy way to fix it.
In the chorus you say "& The Reason IS.."We Survived"" That could change to read "could the reason be we survived?" or "perhaps it's because we survived". Then keep the last chorus as you wrote it- "& The Reason IS..Love Makes US Strong-"
Anyway, this was a sweet write. Have you gotten anywhere with our latest co-? I hope you are well. I'm stressed but still making it. I hope you are having a good week.
Hugs, Jinx

HDee Mz J, Good to See Ya Here Again!
BIG Thanks for the Sug, which I just penned-in a minute ago.. Making that a Question seemed to work..so let's see what the Reaction, if any, is by doing-so!
I've gotten kinda buried between moving things & keeping customers happy...even had to hire my Competitor to help with the influx of clock repairs, as Biz continues to build-up/economy improves, JUST in time to cover the $2200-a-month LESS I'm about to get monthly from the VA Disability Checks. (So, I'm Getting-Ahead, while NOT really Getting-Ahead, after all..heh!) Been showing the houses more-often, too, to potential buyers...&..when either of the pair sells, THEN I'll have turned the corner/Retirement becomes an Option I'll partially-take.
Definitely looking forwards to 3-day work weeks, vs the 6 + Mexican-Gardnering on the 7th we've had the last 3 years.
WILL hopefully get back to that co-write next week...You did such a Great Start on it..I feel Very Guilty for the delay!!!
Best Wishes, Continued Good Luck, M'LadyChum, & Big Hugs, Stan

Hi my dear friend, How is everything going? I hope all is well, and I've missed you and everyone else here. I won't be getting back into singing/songwriting until next year, I've got to many personal things going on here, but I will get back here in the New Year. Stan, I really love this, I'd love for us to collaborate with Rodney next year with this song, if interested, hang onto it until next year Ok. I also haven't forgotten about the other songs we have either. Just waiting until my finances and life gets a whole lot better hey. Stay well, hugs Michele

HiYa Sweet AussiLady!!!
I, too, have been remiss doing that Parrot Part on our co... THINK I'll have a small Recording Budget, come the new year, to finally do-so! Clock sales are picking-up, as are "Peekers" at the Real Estate...so apres Christmas, might well be "Retired" & ready to focus more on Music Things!!!
Glad Ya like this one/hope Rodney Does Too..he's a great Co-Writer/Music makes or breaks alla these lyrics!
Know You've been weathering a Rough Patch...my Worst is I think Behind Me Now, tho VA's whacking my Disability Check down substantially..either Dec..or Jan 1st. (Surprised it's lasted this long..my last Radiation Treatment was Oct. of last year.)
But...Uncle Sam saved my hide..& my Clock Biz--so, No Grumbling, whatsoever..heh! SEEMS like Recession's done all the damage it could here in Tampa, yet things are picking up.
Hang in there.."Next Year" is only about 5-6 weeks away!!! ;-)> (& I'm a Really-Ripe OLD 66 next Tuesday..& got some Wrinkles to Prove It...ALL Well-Earned, I'll proudly add!)
(You know You're Old when all the Hot Chick Babes NEVER wore Tattoos!) ;-)>
Thanks for Your Kind Visite, M'LadyChum! Best Wishes, Big Hugs, & a Wee Forehead Smooch, Stan
