My old buddy Roguie Ray LaMontagne (singer Ray LaMontagne's daddy) hosts this program every week here in Nashville it's also a podcast. Roguie is a blues harmonica player, 5 time W.C. Handy award nominee for harp player of the year. When he was 16 years old, Roguie played harp for Muddy Waters. I play bass in his band The Blue Hair Magnets. He and his partner Bobby Pizzazz interviewed me for this program: http://givemeabreak.podomatic.com/entry/2011-04-21T22_39_38-07_00

It was fun listening to you guy's yuk it up. The songs were a bonus. You did a great job with Kaley's song.
I'm glad that you talked about Ginger Boatwright. I saw her at a bluegrass festival in Fl. (EEEE's Fish Camp, or 4E's, or For Ease) in the mid 80's. She was playing with The Doug Dillard Band. Roland White was on mandolin, they had another lady playing electric bass. I don't remember her name but she was classically trained and sang opera, not with The Dillards of course.
Ginger had the crowd rolling in the aisles. She's one funny lady. It was Doug's band, but he just stood there grinning a lot and let Ginger have the show. She would introduce a song and skew the title. For example, "Rolling In My Sweet Baby's Arms" became "Bowling On My Sweet Potato Farm".

...and the legend continues. "Man's Intuition".... such a super song, Mike. Golly that was a fun listen. Loved the banter on the show before we finally got to hear the song, as well. Fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

Mike: Had fun listening to this. Couldn's say so right away because my log in info went missing for a few days.

I tried the page Mike but there's no play button to start it? Any suggestions? Or has it been taken offline?

Hey Brian, they changed the look a little, but for me, when I clicked on the link above, it opened and the sound started immediately. You can get the button by passing the arrow over the small picture of me right under where it says, "Episode 10"

Dear Mike...Thank you so very much for including "Dancing On the Waves" on the radio show...What a nice surprise!!....The whole show was cool and I especially enjoyed your "Mama's Dancing" That is a beautiful song...and so very bitter sweet!! The bantor between you, Ray and Bobby was fun... You certainly have had a lifetime of experiences in music...Thank you so much!!!
and Ben, thank you...glad you liked it...WE are glad you liked it.....I played a secondary part in the song, actually. Wy posted it on the lyrics board in 2005...and it prompted a melody when I read it.... Wy graciously said we could rework it a bit...and then Charlotte Hannon from Atlanta Music said we should rework it some more to refine it. Mike and John..(brain is failing can't think of last name) did the music tracks recording at Mike's Studio and a gal by the name of Renee Martin was the vocalist.
very cool!..... take good care everyone... Love, Kaley
