Well, I know it's about time but here I am!!! Las Vegas is a rough town because of the extremely high competition but we are the fastest growing city in the US so I am thinking that the original scene has no choice but to get better. The Killers are from here and they were just nominated for a grammy! Anyway, i am pretty new but I learn fast and I love JPF! The more i get into the buisness the more I love JPF!!! Glad to help in any way I can. Lest's get this party started...........

Okay I'm here, moved out from my lifelong home Hawaii a couple years ago to be near my elderly dad who won't move to Hawaii.
I found and joined the Las Vegas Songwriters Association (LVSA) here with weekly meetings where we present and critique our songs to each other. Some of us have gotten single-song publishing contracts (including me after joining the group because their members have valuable contacts in the music biz, that's how I got my songs heard and contracted) and at least three or four have actually already gotten record deal cuts by artists, mostly Country. Our senior member, who is older, has had her stuff recorded by Charlie Pride (remember him?) and it's just a great way to remain involved and motivated with one's songwriting.
But yeah I would like to see who else is here in Vegas nowadays, not only to consider possibly joining the LVSA groupl but also to just have other fellow JPF'ers to collaborate/commiserate with!
