... just to be posting something! This place is dead lately.
I have tickets to see Crowded House this summer and I'm pretty happy about that. Anyone else going? I'm a huge fan. Let's see, what else... I'm not watching the World Cup because soccer is mind numbingly boring to me. I'm trying to write new music and the songs I'm coming up with are more boring than soccer so I'm getting discouraged. I did not run a 5K race in New Port Richey today because I don't feel good, and my wife ran it and won a trophy for finishing in the exact middle of the pack. I'm playing at Tanya and Matt's tomorrow night. I hope I feel better by then but I'm starting to think something's medically wrong with me. Tired all the time. No other symptoms. I hope there will one day be another showcase. I missed the last one. A friend of mine wants me to put together a press kit so she can pitch me to a posh bar that hires live musicians. I got a press kit about 90% done about 6 months ago and never finished it. I need 500 mg of ambition. Do they sell that at Publix in a generic form? In two more weeks I get a two week vacation. I plan on doing absolutely nothing at all and I'm looking forward to it. I have not been out to see any live music since I saw Steve's band a while back. Haven't even made it down to The Bunker. Hopefully I will, soon. I have it on my calendar to check out the show at the Aqua Lounge next Saturday night.
And that's about it.

I used to be really into pro sports when I was a kid, but lost interest after about the third multimillionaires' strike and the continual expecting tax dollars to pay for their stadiums, which they abandon every 20 years, even though the stadiums are still good. My house is over 50 years old. I can't afford to throw it away and build a new one. Why do these multimillionaires feel I can afford to buy them a new stadium?

ahhh.. just what we need, a place to vent. well, lets see. I am in a situation wherein the folks that provided me a home for the last couple of months are going through..well lets just say some "domestic issues" so I am having to find new digs till they figure it all out. With not having transportation since my car died over a year ago, it's been hard for me to get anywhere to hear or play music. I am blessed by the fact that I have friends in this world that will still help this old man out. Just really tired of the catch 22 situation I've been in for the last year and a half, i/e cant get a job without a car/cant get a car without a job.Im too old for this crap. thank God I'm a writer so I have some outlet for my frustrations. can't wait to hear what I come up with when I finally have a chance to actually sit down and write.anyway, dont know when I'll be able to check back in to this forum so in the mean time, good night, and good luck. wish me the same.

Hey Richard,
Hope you're feeling a bit more energetic. I've had the same feeling - but I know what it's from - the GRAVEYARD shift - I don't think I'm cut out for that.
We need to do a show again...

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
