I was asked to rustle up some lyrics for a band of teenaged (and pre-teen) sisters. Their stuff seems remarkably mature for their ages yet still reflects the innocence of youth. I thought maybe this hook may serve their interests. I'd be curious if any of you agree.
When The Falling Stops © 2010 Greg Swartzentruber
You led me here to leap from mountain highs I held back cuz I’ve been burned by guys Who could talk the talk, but they told lies But I know now how a bird feels when it flies
When the falling starts It’s the coolest rush These cupid darts Can’t get enough It’s quite a plunge From the mountain tops But what do we do When the falling stops
So now I’ve given in, we’re hand in hand Base jumping from the peak so high and grand But now I see the fast approaching land What's next is something I don’t understand
When the falling starts It’s the coolest rush These cupid darts Can’t get enough It’s quite a plunge From the mountain tops But what do we do When the falling stops
I love this feeling when I’m falling down Wind whips through my hair with a mighty sound Being here with you makes my heart pound What happens when we finally hit the ground
Bridge~ I trust you are going to treat me right Don’t let me crash to earth like some old stone We’re all wrapped up in our lover’s flight How do we walk again now that we’ve flown
When the falling starts It’s the coolest rush These cupid darts Can’t get enough It’s quite a plunge From the mountain tops But what do we do When the falling stops

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
