Hello there, I'm a young 23 years old musician, composer, orchestrator and producer. You can hear my work from my website's playlist section http://jmiousse.webs.com/playlist.htmI'm interested in doing movie music, arrangements for people, production and beyond. I can work for free since I want something to do and prove that I'm good. So if you need me for anything don't hesitate. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, M4

Welcome,,,,,,M4 ? Are you a robot?...Cool! I heard of them being able to do music now! This should be fun!
Ok,,,ha ha funny funny. But if you don't want more wanna-be comics replying our silly sillies, you should just be a "just plain folk", like the site says, and actually present yourself as if in person, unless you really are M4. Parents are R2D2 and the other one?
That way, others, who get all kinds of requests to do this and do that, from many other members that they already know, (names too!), might get to know you enough to then have more serious replies for ya.
I suggest to get to know the boards and the people. Maybe you could ask specific members to collab based on what you heard too! Have FUN! Whoever you are.
Johnny

Welcome. I am sure you can get some good feedback here. The more you participate, the more you will learn. This is a good community.
As for my feedback - I am impressed with your music. It is quite good. You really have talent and it is evident that you have worked hard to compose and perform those pieces. You are not just another hack - you really do have something. Your music is textured, interesting, solid, melodic, and integrated. The instrumentation is excellent. In my opinion it is better than any of the scores nominated for the Oscars this year.
Also, your name is terrific - use it.......
I hope you will participate here and I will be able to hear more. I fully expect to be hearing your work in the future on tv and in the movies and on cd's.
One final suggestion - join Taxi. With your skills I suspect that you will get many placements.

Hello M4 (Jeane):
Your work is excellent... but you already know that. Welcome to JPF. May I suggest that you take a peek at another site called:
MusicLibraryReport.com
Forgive me, I don't have time to find and post the link right now... but it has appeared on this board several times previously. It is a listing and ranking of the many Music Libraries around the world and provides links to nearly all of them. That way, you keep your music and license it to others... and most of these sites (if they like your music) will even find clients (movies, TV, commercials, etc.) for your work. Good luck. I hope you will continue to post here, learn what makes us tick, share stories with us... and provide assistance to other songwriters, composers and wannabees.
Regardezvous,
Dave

These are some emotive, dramatic works. I was cursorily exploring the first 60 seconds of some, and found myself hooked and not wanting to stop at 60 seconds, or after 3 or 4 pieces. www.taxi.com might be a good investment for you. www.musiclibraryreport.com might be another avenue to a lot of consumers of this type of product.
There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com

M4,
I had also planned to just take a quick listen, but found myself listening to ALL of your selections. Your music is quite good. You've definitely got a bright future ahead of you with movie soundtracks.

Thanks everyone for the good feedbacks it was really good and encouraging to see them. The kind of thing that will help me keep going on and go out and try for a career.
Just to reply to the first comment: yeah well since everyone seems to use their real name I guess I should do... But on my website my real name is obvious.
Anyway thanks everyone!

Wow, Just passing thru....saw the heading on this thread...so had to stop by. Really really good stuff here. You should be very proud of yourself. I look forward to hearing more from you.... From a selfish standpoint, I'm hoping to get back to writing some lyrics again soon; maybe we can do something together too . In the meantime, ciao for now, and again, WELCOME to JPF. Beth P.S. BTW, "je me souviens"

Hey M4,
Great music! Would be good for movies or even video games. I was listening to one song and thought that it would fit well in a serious action video game.
Oh, you've also got some Rock music too, cool. I was thinking it was all orchestral. I was wrong.
Welcome, and hope to see you around these boards. Actually I feel weird welcoming you because I'm a new member myself...

I listened to two of the pieces, Jean-Sebastien, and they would do very well for music scores.

I need music in my projects all the time. Check my two posts in the musician forum. The work we do is primary theatre, dance, and spoken-word CD. If these kinds of projects interest you let chat.

M4YOU, you may look around at posts here and see that all these accolades are not mere routine courtesy, or false welcomes, but a spate of sincere compliments, spontaneous and individual, and in consensus that your product is positively perceived. I think you can go to market with confidence that others will find it to their liking too.

I couldn't get your playlist to work because I'm a total loser, but I saw some respectable folks say you were good, so I'll take their word for it! Welcome to JPF! May you make friends, have fun, network, and may all your dreams come true! Sincerely. We're all in this together.

Thanks everyone for your warm words, it is very encouraging and I appreciate.
Polly, another way to hear my work is via YouTube. M4Y0U is the channel you are looking for.
Thanks for your interests and I took everyone suggestions very seriously and I'm joining Taxi and other websites then getting back to work with new softwares and an updated sound bank. The work you heard is made with kinda outdated stuff so I had to invest some money to be up to date. Expect to hear more and hopefully better pieces of music.

Do you do music collaborations to established lyrics? If so we may be able to talk, as I have been looking for this kind of arrangements.
Peace, Brian
