Anyone got any insight as to how you submit your CD to Creative Loafing for potential review? I scoured the website and came up empty...

Check with Sheila Kirsten-Hughes... I believe she was a lucky sort to be reviewed... (very nicely I might add!)

Thanks, Ms. Goody. BTW, did you get my e-mail? I sent it via your web site address. I'd like to send you a copy of my new CD for your show...

Curious... Did you find an answer as to who(m) to contact to get your review?

Back when I got a review for 'Long Grass and The Tall Trees' the writer that did most of the reviews was Wade Tatangelo. He's no longer with Creative Loafing.
The new music editor is Leilani Polk. Unfortunately they don't seem to review local CDs as much as they used to. But I would send your stuff in care of her at Creative Loafing. It might also be a good idea to email her - leilani.polk@weeklyplanet.com
Hope that helps some. I sent in my CD along with our CD release info. Haven't seen anything on the CD, but the CD release show is mentioned under upcoming concerts.

That's good info to follow up on. Thanks... BTW... I have a couple of your new songs on the show this week. I really liked "SunRise of Gold".

Thanks for the info, Steve. See you Monday morning! I just put new strings on my guitar. Special occasion, and all.

Thanks Goody! Yeah, we kind of got a cool weird guitar sound out of that one that worked well for the feeling of the song.

No problem....I think the general cutbacks in print have changed the way things are done. Everybody seems to be doing more national content and sharing a lot of stuff. Another thing you all might check out is Soundcheck which is part of the St. Petersburg Times and tbt....It's a website, but much of their stuff ends up in tbt in print. They try to cover a lot of local stuff and venture out occasionally from the same folks you read about all the time. Soundcheck I changed my strings today too - all shiny and new and likely to go out of tune at a moment's notice. Steve V
