Hi Folks,
So tonight is our final US Tour date for 2007. We're in Nashville, where JPF did it's first Roadtrip. We have lots to talk about, including Pineyfest and the Featured Bluebird Show and all the Roadtrip Showcases we've done this year. I have to admit that I am a bit worn out after being on the road most of the time since May 14th. I will get a break before we head to Europe in September, but in between I'll be posting photos and sharing some stories from the road.
I definitely look forward to being home and in my own bed (which is ridiculously soft which most people hate, but I can't wait to sink into) and cranking the AC down to about 69 degrees and relaxing a bit. My health did great during the midwest tour, but I had a couple scares on the Southeast tour. I know my wife will be relieved to be with me when I am in Europe.
I'll soon be back here every day joining in discussions again. Thanks to all those who have been holding down the fort!
Brian

Hi Brian, Was GREAT to see you and be a part of the roadshow in B'ham. Thanks for everything! I met a very enthusiastic musician from the B'ham symphony orchestra at the Bham venue. He's interested in helping me find local musicians to play one of my other songs (a bluesy jazz song). Thanks for making that fabulous networking opportunity possible for us. Vanessa

Brian, It was so nice finally meeting you. Just wanted to say thanks again for coming to Atlanta. I thought both showcases I attended, Atlanta and Nashville, turned out great. I'll be thinking of things to write as the days go along..as there is so much to remember and to share. I did want to say that on my way home I listened to a CD that was given to me by a JPF showcase member on Saturday night, Cheyenne Medders. When you introduced him, his last name caught my ear. Turns out, I did an "in the round" with his dad, Jule, about 3 years ago here in Georgia. He is a PRO. I asked him if that was his dad, and he said "Yes." So he gave me one of his CDs...and it's fabulous! I listened to every song on the way home.. this young man is very talented just like his dad. Thanks, Cheyenne, for the CD..in case you see this. I also have listened to several others' CDs.. I'll talk about them eventually. Anyway...thanks for all you do. Be careful on your European trip. ~~Shelia www.sheliaquattlebaum.blogspot.comwww.gmia.org
