Hello everyone! Brian is planning on coming to Des Moines on June 4th to do a JPF showcase. I believe that is a Monday night. Does anyone know of a free location we can host the event? I have a sound system that I can bring. We need to let everyone know as soon as we get a location. I am not the chapter coordinater but used to be. I will help get it together if someone can help me out and find a location and round up our JPFers around IOWA. Thanks!! Post me soon! Tammy

Tammy,
Actually you're the closest thing we have to a chapter coordinator in Iowa! = )

Well.. I think the Ritual Cafe would be an awesome place. They have a PA already. and a room for bigger concerts. I also think that the MIll in Iowa City would be an awesome place to hold your jpfolks tour. www.icmill.com I'd be glad to help promote... I've been part of Folk Alliance and can do some work lining things up if you need some help. I live 3 hours from Des Moines... and 1/2 hour from quad cities.

It's in DesMoines. http://www.ritualcafe.com/ They have a backroom they dedicate to bigger acts like Tret Fure, Eric Taylor, and people like that. Plenty of room. Or just use the little stage in the coffeehouse. I'm sure they seat 75 in that room... more in the back. I think the person's name to contact there is Denise. I will be playing there with Lojo Russo on April 13th. You can check it out then. Cheers Michelle
