I would like to know if anyone reading this has an interest in having access to some of the accomplished musical talent that can be found here. I know that the level of musicianship in Europe is just as high as in the U.S., but sometimes you just have to have that "authentic" sound, whether it is Blues, Country, or any other typical American music. You may also need help with lyrics, etc. It seems like with the internet and mp3 files, international collaboration could be easy and cheap. This could also work the other way when Americans are looking for a real European sound. I was born in France and moved to the U.S. as a teenager. I am bilingual and have returned to Europe regularly. I have been living in the Los Angeles area where I make my living as a singer/guitarist, music teacher, and other musically related pursuits, including demo production. ------------------ Evyn Charles ecsongs.com

Hi Evyn, Personally, I'm finding MP3s, and the internet in general, to be a godsend to songwriters like myself. A few months ago, I started collaborating and it's so rewarding. EG a couple of weeks ago, I heard a beautiful instrumental on Soundclick, by a man in Hong Kong. I emailed to ask if he'd mind if I tried to write lyrics as I was so moved. Wrote the lyrics, which he liked, then we needed a singer! Found a lovely singer in Scotland UK who liked both lyrics and melody, and the song will hopefully be added to our samples in the next couple of days! Likewise, we heard today that my collaboration with a Swedish artist/producer about the Tsunami tragedy, is being seriously considered this week for a charity compilation album which will include a donated track from a world famous rock band!! It's so rewarding!! Carol.

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
