Event Producer and Director, Gilli Moon (
www.gillimoon.com) explained, The SONGSALIVE! EXPO 2002 seeks to bring together independent music companies and artists to create a New Music Industry NOT dependent on major conglomerates and huge budgets that force the indie artist out of the playing field.
We want to create an arena where great music CAN reach consumers through independent relationships among labels, distributors, the media, venue owners and the Internet.
The Expo features:
*Panel Discussions with celebrated and honored industry professionals discussing various "hot" music industry topics throughout the day
*Songwriting Critique Workshops
*Closed pro-sessions with leading songwriters and industry representatives
*Exhibition booths for artists and the industry
*Artist showcases at the main venue and surrounding Los Angeles clubs.
