I found these 2 venues listed on http://www.songspace.net/calendar/week.php?cid=5 It's a pretty cool site with searchable listings for open mics and a spot where you can post your own gigs on the calendar. Just for Seattle area. Here's the listings: Madison's Cafe free / sign-up at 8:00, music 8:30-11:30 Street Address: 3803 Delridge Way SW Phone: 206.935.2111 City: Seattle Web Site: Venue Type: restaurant / bistro Venue Description: good listening room small but cozy stage open mic Fri & Sat -------------- Wired & Unplugged Internet Coffee House 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Street Address: 717 1st St Phone: 360-568-2472 City: Snohomish Web Site: Venue Type: coffeehouse / cafe / bakery Venue Description: open mic Fri , call for sign-up time Anyone know anything about these 2 spots? I'm heading out tonight to at least listen. I don't know if I'm brave enough to sign up, but I'll have something ready just in case. Just curious if anyone's done these particular venues, or knows of any other 'regular' spots on Fridays. Thanks! Linda ------------------ ==================== Linda Adams http://www.alyssastory.com

I just drove by Madison's the other night and it's no longer Madison's (though I can't for the life of me remember what it's called now... it's been several names over the course of time). Wired & Unplugged is more than 30 miles north of downtown Seattle so it's only vaguely "Seattle-area" though from all reports I've heard it's a nice open mike. I recommend checking out www.openmikes.org and always call first to make sure the open mike is still extant. ------------------ Howlin' HobbitGot Uke? Hiya, Yeah, we drove past too and it looks like kindof a biker bar now ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) . I think it's the Skylark, I could be wrong. They had a live band setting up, but didn't look like an open mic setting. We'd have stuck out like sore thumbs there anyway, LOL. Thanks for the link! I'm looking at maybe Thurs. this week. Wanting to check things out more than perform yet, see if I like a place, etc. Linda ------------------ ==================== Linda Adams http://www.alyssastory.com
