Hello everyone! Sorry for the short notice, but I would like to host the next meeting of the Phoenix chapter of Just Plain Folks at my house. We can grill out if everyone wants to bring a dish. Hello! I just wanted to post and tell everyone that the second meeting of the Phoenix chapter went very well. We had 11 people in attendance this month. We got a lot discussed too. We want to build the membership, so we had some people volunteer to come up with some sort of flyer or pamphlet to inform people in the Phoenix music community. In addition to monthly meetings, we are planning to have monthly showcases starting in September. Beginning in August, we would also like to have a bi-monthly speaker, presentation, workshop, or seminar on industry and music-related topics. We also brainstormed some ideas and charities for our community involvement activities. We plan on donating a portion of the profits from the monthly showcases to local charities as well as some community service activities. We also discussed the idea of coming up with a list of Arizona music industry contacts for all of the Phoenix chapter members. We will be working on this project in the months ahead.
