Hi Folks,
As the year changes, we have some coordinator openings in some key cities. The biggest is Los Angeles where we have the most members, mentors, industry contacts and history of events/activities. This position will require a hands on coordinator with more time than most of the other chapters in the org due to the size and high profile status of the chapter.
We also need Coordinators (not contacts, we have some of those already) for these cities and states in North America:
Seattle, WA Portland, OR San Diego, CA San Jose, CA Sacramento, CA Albuequerque/Santa Fe, NM El Paso, TX Amarillo/Lubbock, TX Western, CO Madison, WI Milwaukee, WI Louisville, KY Lexington, KY Anywhere in Kansas Baton Rouge, LA Jackson, MI Gulfport/Biloxi, MI Montgomery, AL Mobile, AL Southern, GA Jacksonville, FL Tallahassee, FL Charleston, SC Charlotte, NC Asheville, NC Raleigh, NC Virginia Beach, VA Richmond, VA Knoxville, TN Harrisburgh, PA Syracus, NY Anywhere, NH Burlington, VT Montreal, Canada Quebec City, Canada Ottawa, Canada Thunder Bay, Canada Winnipeg, Canada Regina, Canada Calgary, Canada San Juan, Puerto Rico Honolulu, HI Maui, HI
And possibly these locations:
Anywhere Alaska Mexico City, Mexico Anywhere Nova Scotia Anywhere Newfoundland Jackson or Cheyenne, Wyoming Missoula, Helena or Billings, Montana Fargo or Bismarck, North Dakota Wheeling or Charleston, West Virginia
We are always willing to start a chapter where there are 10 interested members. The first listed locations above I know we have more than 10 members in each so I am hoping we can get the ball rolling. The lower ones we may or may not have, but I'd like to find out.
Email Jean Bullock at chapters@jpfolks.com if you are interested.
Thanks,
Brian

Anywhere Alaska </font> Brian, I noticed that you are referring to Mississippi (MS) but you have the abbreviation for Michigan (MI). I know that there is a Jackson Michigan, but I don't think there's a Gulfport/Biloxi in Michigan, so you're safe there. Incidentally I used to live in Gulfport and Biloxi, but no more so I can't help you there. I do however, live in Alaska, and have contacted Jean about that, so hopefully I'll have that covered. Cheers, Rodney

Hi Brian Whitney and JeanB
Would it be possible to start an African Chapter of the Jp Folks? I have looked at most of the chapters and it seems that we guys feature nowhere..probably because none of us has had the initiative to have one Chapter to carter for us guys. It would be a little difficult at present to have a Kenyan Chapter for example but I have a lot of other African friends who are artists and we share a lot in common.
What would it take to have the "African Chapter"? and to co-ordinate? I would love to see more of African music here at Jp Folks. Thanks so much for reading this?

Frahmes,
We're happy to have a chapter anywhere where at least 10 members want to do it.

Dear Brian, I am willing to try being the Seattle, WA coordinator if it has not been filled yet. Please email the requirements and what I'd need to do. I have the drive to see more events happening here and to meet people--I lack a little in organizational and planning skills, but I'm willing to give it a go. Email alyssabooks at sprintmail dot com with the information I'll need (or a yes/no). Thanks!
