Lots of progress made at this meeting. Received many wonderful ideas and suggestions, most of which will be implemented. Our first, MONTHLY, JPF Showcase is scheduled for March 22nd at Hallenbeck's General Store, 5510 Cahuenga Blvd, North Hollywood, 8pm to 10pm with an Open Mic to follow. The scheduled performers are listed below: Neil Rutman Terry Wolf Jeff Bonilla John M Harold Payne Bruce Teitell Ritt Henn Jeannie Willets The JPF Showcase host: Andrea Louise The Open Mic host: Patrick Bryant Anyone interested in performing in JPF Showcases will be asked to fill out a simple questionaire describing their musical talent and style. The Committee developed this questionaire strictly for purposes of identification, not qualification to perform in Showcases. A Showcase Coordinator position was developed with specific job responsibilities. We NEED a volunteer for May's Showcase. If interested please email me (PenniJPF@aol.com) and I will get you the information. A Media Coordinator position was developed and also has specific job responsibilities. If this is something you would be interested in please feel free to email me (PenniJPF@aol.com) and I will get you the information. We have two people writing press-releases and one person is disseminating the releases to various media-type persons. Also, if any of you have contacts in the Media (TV, Radio, Public Access, Newspapers, Magazines, etc) please send the contact info to me via email. In addition to the two positions mentioned, we looked at "Genre-specific Coordinators." If you would like to see a specific Genre Showcase (ie: Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Classical, Blues, etc.) then please contact me and we will get the ball rolling.
