The Buffalo-Niagara Chapter of JPF met April 14th at The Coffee Bean.
Members present: Stu Shapiro,Ben Pearce, John Koltak, Susan Viscuson, Norm & Jeff Clerck, Ray Byrd, Matt & Dave from UB jam club, Duane from Poor Boys Riot, Frank Vassalo, DaveyO, Jeff M, Mike Meal.
We spent a good Deal of time preparing for Sunday's showcase at the Ellicott complex on the south campus of UB. 14 acts will meet at 11:00 am and play Noon to 4:00pm.

Stu Shapiro, a musician as well as an attorney, will be guest speaker at our May chapter meeting. His talk is titled "Copyright and Contract Basics - What Every Songwriter/musician Should Know" Bring your questions concering the music buisness to the May 12th meeting at The Coffee Bean.

We are hoping to follow June 9th's Coffee Bean meeting with an acoustic showcase. DaveyO is going to attempt to contact Jim to book the front stage for the evening. This would be a way to become eligible to play a showcase be attending a meeting all in one night.

Dave from UB jam club is planning on playing an Open mic at Broadway Joe's on April 27th. We will start a post to invite one or two other JPF members to play that night as well as pass out fliers and talk to other players about becoming chapter members.

We ended the evening with a song circle of six performances.
