Same Question as the individual in Sacramento-Do we have enough "critical mass" to start a Washington DC chapter yet? (at least an "on the ground" one). Maybe there is one, already, and I am just unaware of it, however, I do not see one listed on the site. Anyone interested, please contact me.

Hi,
We actually have enough DC/Arlington area folks to have a chapter. We already have an active chapter in Baltimore in conjunction with the BSA. (Paul Iwancio runs both.) Because we didn't want to "compete" with his group, it has been a friendly arrangement for us both. With WAMA and SAW in DC, I have sort of taken the same position in that they are already doing great work. In the next wave of Just Plain Folks Chapter, we are setting them up so they really won't be a competitive enviroment with the local groups and therefore we will have a chapter in DC for sure. We will let everyone know ASAP as to how we want to proceed there.
