I got to go to one of the Roadtrip workshops. What a blast! We were privileged to meet at Joey Arreguin's Studio, "Love & Laughter." It was a great time. We learned a lot about the production end of songwriting, business partnerships and integrity, music collaboration and got the Grand tour of the studio. The sound engineer ( I think his name was Ian) showed us the equipment and software that is used in the studio to record.
It was fascinating. One of our members, a lovely and talented young woman, played guitar and sang and Ian demonstrated how the microphones and software are used to balance and enhance the recording. It was quite thrilling. Joey and Harold really gave us a lot of insight into this music business. We got to meet other members and networked with them. I wish you all could have been there, you would have loved it! Anyone who has never been to the chapter meetings or workshops, or showcases has really missed something. If the opportunity to attend meetings and workshops presents itself in your area, please go. You will not be sorry. All the talent that emerges at these opportunites is incredible. And the contacts you make there are invaluable.

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
