Hi This is my first try at songwriting. I was wondering if anyone had any comments. It's a little cliche I know.
"Here I Am"
There was a time When you were mine Not long ago for me Love blossomed so fast You were scared it wouldn't last But Baby can't you see (that)
Here I am- my love is tried and true and only meant for you This I hope to prove Here I am -and this is where I'll stay waiting for your love To come on back my way Here I am
You walked away Afraid to stay And open up to me Give your heart a chance To feel joy and romance I promise you will see (that)
Here I am- My love is tried and true and only meant for you This I hope to prove Here I am- And this is where I'll stay Waiting for your love To come on back my way Here I am
True love is meant to be One day I know you'll see (that)
repeat chorus

Hi Hurley, Welcome! For your first try you've done really well. Your song is structured very nicely, and you've got nice placement of your title and hook.

Thank you both for answering. I'll hopefully post again soon. Trying to still figure out if this is for me or not.

"If someone is truly a jerk, or truly is not deserving of any positive reply from you, polite indifference is the best response you can give. Do not insult. Do not slam. Do not follow the urge to be nasty. Simply be politely indifferent." –Brian Austin Whitney
