I was selected a few months ago to take part in the ASCAP Writer's Night series, in which they take CD submissions of songs and pick the best writers from Belmont University, where I attend. After the submission and audition process i was chosen to perform last night in a writer's round where three of us writers performed 3 songs alongside hit writer Kelley Lovelace ("He Didn't Have To Be" - Brad Paisley, "The Impossible" - Joe Nichols, "Don't Forget To Remember Me" - Carrie Underwood, and more). Our songs and performances were critiqued by industry execs. it was a blast! aand, i was chosen as the winner.. so on April 5th I will perform at the Best of the Best Showcase @ the Curb Event Center in Nashville  it's been pretty crazy around here with me lately but i hope everyone is doing great. BIG JIM - how's life been?
