Speaking of marketing ploys, there have been many a local band with the name Free Beer. Always seems to draw a crowd.
My first band, in 9th grade, was called Ecstasy. Truth be told, we were closer to agony.
I was in a band for a short while called Felix and the Phallics. And some other friends had a band called Not The Fetal Wombats.
I recall a local punk band called Dumpster Juice.
