Flies are fascinating. I wrote a song while watching one in a glass. I was thinking to myself, this fly keeps making the same move, he leaps, bumps off side of glass, and drops back down to floor, two second later, tries it again, same result. Well, it all hit home for me. That fly was trying to teach me something. That if I dont try a different approach, try different strategies in life, then im just like him, bumping off the glass.

It was a pivotal moment in my life. And whats more, a fly only lives for twenty some days. I have never swatted a fly since, they will die soon enough anyway, and they taught me something. Marty is not able to teach me anything, yet a fly is.

I say we put Marty in a glass....

Isn't there anything to be said about integrity and persistence despite the odds? Anything...?

I wonder... after your epiphany, did you let the fly go?
