Colin, last year they experimented with recording it at 10pm to broadcast it after the Opry. The musicians complained because if they were doing a gig that finished by 11 they could come and play or listen to the jamboree. After a couple of months they went back to doing it live.

Ray, yes, it's the one by Opryland. They have a big theater there next to the record shop, the Texas Troubador Theater. It's not as cold in the winter as the downtown shop. LOL. Here's info on the theater:
