Hi Greg --

The details look like he's looking for producers here.

I'm not a producer, but the site looks interesting, even if they do have sort of a strange computer-animated video to describe their services. smile

Can you tell us about Blazetrak.com --------

How has it worked for you so far?
Do you use the "credits" yourself?

It looks legit and coming from you Greg, with your recent successes, I'm inclined to trust this is a good thing to check out.

I'd love to hear how it compares for you to other sites or services.

I've never heard of them before seeing this post.

Thanks for any further info you may have to offer about them!

All right... while waiting on Greg to reply...........

Taking a quick investigative look here, their company mission statement and history looks good, and it looks like they have real, actual industry personnel to submit real, actual things to.

Free to sign up (I just created an account); once you sign up, you may buy credit packages to make submissions and enter contests. Here is what they say about their charges:

"Credits are Blazetrak's currency. Purchase credits whenever you need them. Use your credits to submit to professionals and enter contests. Credits cost as little as $8.50 USD/credit. Please note: Blazetrak does not refund money used to purchase credit packages. However, credits may be returned back to a Blazetrak user account if one of the following occurs:

1.) A submission has been made to a professional or contest, where a video response is indicated as the Response Type, and the video response has not been received within 30 days.
2.) A submission has been made to a contest, and has not been viewed within 30 days.
3.) It is determined there is a technical issue with the video response.
4.) It is determined the video response was completed by someone other than the Professional submitted to.
5.) A submission is declined for any reason."

So............ no money back, but if the submission is not evaluated as they say you can get your credits back, which seems decent... and you don't pay a dime unless and until YOU decide to submit something to a professional through them.

For example:
Based on a preliminary search -

http://www.blazetrak.com/view_professional.php?proid=3723

This is the page for Donna Wright, Pink's original manager:

"Donna originally signed Pink to manage her after discovering her singing in the Orlando, FL area. Donna worked with Pink, promoting her in Orlando and New York before arranging for her to open for N'Sync during their summer concert tour. She broke Pink in the industry in only 8 months."

(She is mainly seeking the "next boy band" having also managed The Backstreet Boys and N'Sync.)

THEORETICALLY then -

It looks like, for 8 credits (or, maximum, $92) you could send Ms. Wright an audio track for her personal, professional review and evaluation. I'm pulling her page as an example here because of the connection to Pink -- Brian has reported Pink was on JPF before she was discovered.

In my mind this helps satisfy the legitimacy of this site.

Brian? MAB? Others? Your thoughts?

I like what I'm seeing here -- as compared to other companies taking money upfront for nothing -- this is interesting.

Blaze Trak in a nutshell is a company bringing accessibility of entertainment industry professionals to those who aren't able to have access to them otherwise. The industry professionals make available projects and services on a case by case basis and those who have signed up and purchased credits may make submissions for the opportunity to potentially be what those professionals are looking for. It's a small price to pay as opposed to spending hundreds of dollars (if not more) traveling to an entertainment mecca.

Spending tons of money to travel somewhere with the hopes of meeting someone as opposed to spending a little bit of money on blazetrak with the guarantee of getting a response in my opinion is a no brainer.

Yes, it works and people have found success as a result of using Blaze Trak. I would warn those who aren't ready to not waste their money and not waste the professionals' time. Real results can come to fruition for those who are serious about what they're doing.

******

Blaze Trak has worked for me in a different way than most people because I am actually pretty connected on my own. I have brought some of those connections into contact with the founders of Blaze Trak and as a result, they have become featured professionals on the site. I'm a networker, songwriter, and I have a tendency to draw people to me. I also live in the Los Angeles area, so for me, I am surrounded by people in the entertainment industry all the time. I'm basically lucky I have the right friends and am able to continue making friends with others as well.

I do have an account on Blaze Trak and if there is an opportunity that even I can't resist, then yes, I would buy credits and use them. So far, I haven't had to, but I would.

I don't use other sites or services. As I've said, I haven't had a need for it.

From getting to know the founders of Blaze Trak, my opinion is that they're really great guys who are just trying to do some good by helping others realize their dreams. While it does cost to buy credits, for the right individuals, that is a small price to pay for the rewards could be greater. For some, those rewards ARE greater than what they've paid for.

That's my take.

Thanks Greg, I couldnt have said it any better myself, and thanks for all your help so far, we really appreciate it. If anyone has any questions about Blazetrak, feel free to ask them here and I will answer them. I had a similar discussion on this site about 8 months ago, so Im glad to have the opportunity to revisit Blazetrak with all of you. FIRE AWAY!

Hi Ron!!

Nice to meet you! smile
I just popped back to JPF less than 8 months ago, so I missed that discussion.

Thank you, and I am so thrilled to see your company filling a real need in the industry. This -- is cool.

Hats off to you! And thank you for the personal response.

Greg, thank you also. It's been fun to watch things take off for you lately.

There is so much out there that *is* just... dicey... that it is WONDERFUL to find this. Everything on the site seemed clear, easy to navigate, reasonable, and 100% up front and the real deal.

The next part is:

Knowing if you're "ready" ... so that what you send won't waste time?

and

How to match yourself up to the right professionals to submit to?

Which aren't really Blazetrak questions of course, but points to ponder. So far -- of the pages I've visited, it seems cut & dried what each is looking for, so -- it's a matter of reading and watching the videos provided. smile

Thank you - I truly admire this, and am very happy to find you.
If you can't tell. smile

Thanks Linda, nice to meet you as well. If you want you can submit some of your work to my business partner Corey for free just so you can test out the platform and see how it works. Hi Ron --

Now THAT is a supremely nice offer! I'll do that. Please let Corey know I'll drop by his box sometime soon.

I am one of those persons that may never feel I have anything "ready" - even if I do.

I'll look through my things and see what I have.
Thank you!

Thanks Greg

Also I joined Blaztrak a while back, I only had the chance to submit one song. I found a great match for a Producer/Musician looking for songs for a talented young female artist.

The key is looking through the listings and finding what suits best with what you have, common sense.

I submitted the song and paid the fee, to me paying for things related to my music is as normal as breathing. I checked in every few days but never got a response of any kind on the song.
I figured this has to happen with people's schedules and crazy lives and just the nature of this crazy business in general.

I waited over the 30 day period then put in a request for a refund which I got back No Problem.

So I obviously need to submit again, my song was a great match for the artist and for the person looking for it. He was not only a producer but an established musician who would have picked up on my vibe immediately. But it's a strong and impressionable song and presentation overall and can go to a few opportunities. As soon as I'm able I'll submit again maybe two or three at once to up the chances of getting the response and the opportunity.

Thanks
Mike

Thanks!
Peace Mike

Hey Mike, thanks for sharing your experience. Yes, some of our guys do get very busy and miss the 30 day deadline, but as as promised, you get a return instantly. We try to stay on top of them as much as possible with weekly reminder calls and emails when a deadline is approaching, but sometimes, their schedules just dont permit. Thanks for being a good sport about it. I will issue you a few free credits just for being cool.

Thanks Ron, I found a few good matches but picked one I thought felt best. I totally get it, so it was easy to guess what happened.

Besides while like anyone else I want to get a quick response but I feel this way.... If a professional has the time to get right back to me immediately then they are not in the position to help really me smile

The more impossible the bigger the return, that's what I'm used to but I'm wearing down buddy, so not to impossible huh! lol

Thanks for the gift I really appreciate it and will put it to good use. And yeah your right I'm pretty cool so are you.

Thanks
Mike

Thanks!
Peace Mike
