I've always loved Southeast Performer Magazine. I've known various editors over the years and they've all done a fine job with the mag. But there are many others. If you have a regional, or local, mag or newsweekly that you like post it here! In addition to reviewing concerts and albums, these are chock-full of valuable information about our industry! BTW most (if not all) of these are free and widely distributed wink

Southeast Performer Magazine - my 2nd album was reviewed in May!
submissions: online via Sonicbids ($5) or by mail (read their policy online before sending)

Stomp and Stammer is another goodie w/ a superb website!
submissions: snail-mail only (read their policy online first)
Stomp and Stammer / PO Box 5440 / Atlanta, GA 31107

Creative Loafing - the only Southeast cities are Atlanta, Charlotte, and Sarasota, but this newsweekly includes free music calendars! You simply email your gig dates a week in advance for inclusion. Often sponsored by local FM radio too wink

ps: rural mags are great too, but usually more hesitant to print news that is not about their readership (i.e., within their immediate area).

Hi Nick, We have Creative Loafing here in Tampa Bay as well and it is also heavily circulating although it seams to be getting pretty thin here as of late. A community radio station you might be interested in is WMNF who are big in the Tampa Bay area and on Thursday and Friday mornings have shows that highlight many local and touring Indie Artists. Just thought I'd share.
