Out Of Toilet Paper Blues

I got up in the morning and stumbled down the hall,
I was barely half awake but I was feeling nature call
Took out my phone, and prepared to sit down on that throne.

But when I got down to the bathroom my heart stopped cold,
When I saw beside the toilet that empty cardboard roll
And I knew, I had the out of toilet paper blues.

Chorus:
Yes I'm out of toilet paper and feeling real depressed,
It's hard to do your business when you can't clean up the mess,
Oh damn you, Corona virus, it's all because of you
I got the out of toilet paper blues,
I got the out of toilet paper blues.

So I rushed down to the grocery but all the shelves were bare,
I even checked their restrooms found no toilet paper there
So I swore, and it echoed through that whole damn store.

Then I rushed back like a madman to the paper product aisle
Grabbed some napkins and some paper towels to hold me for awhile
That's what you do, with the out of toilet paper blues.

So I called up my sweet woman and I pleaded for her help,
She said you know I'd love to but I need it for myself
And though I care, I just haven't got a roll to spare.

Well the moral of this story is when troubled times arise,
You can't just stand around you've got to stock up your supplies
Cause if you snooze, you get the out of toilet paper blues.
