Hi Folks,

So I got through another day on the Eliptical and felt tired (wobbly legs) but really good when I was done So far so good. I even stayed awake after doing it and reward myself with some time on the XBox wiping out artificial intelligence in cyberspace.

We were only a couple hundred CD's from having all the stuff received here at JPF HQ screened and then we got blasted with a couple hundred more. I am sure we'll get another 1000 or so at the deadline like we always do. I wish folks had sent this to us earlier. But Artists are nothing if not procrastinators.

I heard that Betty Page passed away yesterday. She was 85. Definitely iconic.

I also learned that some douchebag Russian guy trademarked the winking emoticon. That means that anyone using it in any commercial way has to liscense it from him. He's also claiming that all other emoticons (smiley face? etc.) are also owned by him and you must pay him. If this wasn't so perverse it would be laughable.. but it's true.. and the world slips a bit more into the abyss.

How's YOUR day going?

Brian

Betty Page was the epitome of the "pinup" girl. She had been leading a private life for years, and still looked good as she aged if you could find a rare picture of her in later years.

Yeah I've seen that pic of her at some Playboy function a couple years ago. That was one of the only known photos of her later in life. She had found "religion" and had denounced her earlier life, though from all reports I could find, hard core porn wasn't really involved in her modeling nor drugs or prostitution or anything like that. She was simply a break out pinup girl who's bondage photos and films were very popular.
