They just added new features to Udio and you can now enter a short piece of music your made and Udio will match it, aded to it and extend it. It will also add vocals to an intro or you can put your lyrics in with instructions of instrumentations and genres you want and it will do it. It will ALSO follow your melody if your upload one. Very cool!
Fdem, sorry, but I disagree with you regarding the lyrics of Un-Break My Heart. I personally think the verse lyrics are great too. There are so many cover versions of that song and most of them are awesome. The song wasn't that successful just because of Toni Braxton. No way.
Diane Warren is an American songwriter who has a net worth of $100 million. I wish I sucked like Diane and Toni . I should be practicing, But they chime in .
All the best to you as well Rob. If you find a site where songs can be put put up and discussed in a friendly and cordial atmosphere without the pointless stupidity and trolling...pm me with the URL here. I'll check it every so often.
Do you think you will end up with your own AI account? Suppose I up load the 200 to 300 songs I've written and the 50 songs I've recorded and then use it to create new songs in the Steven McDonald genre...lolol Steve
Also, another song I co-wrote with other ONLY human co-writers. This one was recorded and performed by a band called Select Three. This song is one I cowrote being performed by the band opening for Bon Jovi in Minneapolis.
I am not worried about what other people are writing or not writing. If I don't like it, I'm simply gonna click the x button and move on. I don't need to tell them I didn't like it. If I do like it, cool. It also depends on what they want to do with their stuff. If it's merely for hobbyist fun, what does it matter? If they're trying to compete in the big leagues, they have major competition and their stuff better be better than what the pros are putting out. A&R reps and publishers don't listen to unsolicited material anyway. So, connections and networking are still king.
Greg, you have to stop making so much sense. it's not allowed in this conversation
The theory is, that because AI driven songs are faster to produce, that it somehow will bury all the "REAL" songs posted, and they are some doozies....
again theory continues, because it takes hours and hours and days and months and years to write a damn song, and then because the people doing it are not good enough to do them fast, They must punch in every line so that the vocal is acceptable. They must copy and paste canned music from ez strings and EZ piano and EZ drummer into the daw, and then they must mix.
But these superior artists, are now suffering because AI songs are "clogging" the mp3 section.
A rationale human being might say, "gee, I was at the mp3 section and I saw a song posted 3 weeks ago, and its still on top of the page... " where will i go now?"
STAY STAY STAY, keep this song on top of the page for weeks, or months if we have to, just to show those punching in bandits that we believe they are superior.
Truth is, there are so few mp3 songs being posted, and that caused much decline here. It is much more active now because it allows people who didn't have the means to post a song, a chance to post one.
And precisely, most human beings click after the first 4 bars because they are bored and are not willing to sit through the hell. If they only knew how often that happens.
Here is a hypothetical of mine...what IF, instead of moving the current section. we keep ai songs THERE, on top of the page. but move "REAL" songs somewhere else.
GUARANTEED objection, because its ATTENTION they want, not ANYTHING else.
