I'm sick of all this talk about "There's no money in the music biz"... Yet, everybody keeps buying guitars, computers, studio time, lessons, etc., and the songs just keep coming... "Somebody" is obviously taking/making our money. Surely we're not a bunch of dreamers and suckers lol! So, what do YOU do for money? What's your day job?

I was an accounting tech. low power but also off the radar, low stress and always employed. retired now. While working, acquired some gear and now stay cool by noodling w same.
But really a pencil, an erasure, and sheets of blank paper (and maybe a inexpensive ukulele)...is all da budget necessary.

I'm retired now 28.5 years, surviving on pensions that don't keep up with cost of inflation, but investments in music over the years is now paying off with up to five figure income, so I am recouping the money I invested over the years in songwriting. God is good.
