Has anyone experienced a copyright claim on their original song on YouTube?
I uploaded an original song to YouTube and it had a copyright claim against it for part of the melody. I know it is quite common for cover songs as you would expect, but this is the first time it has happened on a song I have written.
Has anyone else had this for a YouTube upload of an original song? Did you ‘fix’ it, dispute it, or let it go?
I'd be particularly interested to hear from anyone that disputed it and how that went.

Just to update you on what is happening, I logged a dispute 3 days ago. Last night I received this from YouTube:
Hi Nigel Quin,
Good news! After reviewing your dispute, Concord Music Publishing has decided to release their copyright claim on your YouTube video.
Video title: Nigel Quin - Until The Summer Ends

Obviously I'm pleased about that, but I do think that YouTube should push back a bit on these opportunistic claims by at the very least asking for more justification, like you or I would need to do if we were to make such a claim.
