https://www.facebook.com/100000314936532/videos/783303339805105/Very rough, I am going to try and re-create this in BIAB. Before I do any suggestions on lyrics, tempo, melody...hire a singer.? *So Long Saigon (AWS)* There’s dark clouds rising from smoke filled graves No one is left now; not the lucky nor the brave Yesterday I aimed at shadows; lost a friend today If I can’t hang on till morning I’ll be just another name On a cold black bag around me There’s no sleeping in the jungle No way out of the maze Is it today or tomorrow? Let the smoke take me away And help me say So long Saigon, goodbye orange rain Help me forget a man named Charlie Trying to put me in the grave When my maker comes a calling I’ll expect some change I’ve been through hell once And I won’t go back again Help me say So long Saigon, goodbye orange rain Help me forget a man named Charlie Trying to put me in the grave So long Saigon, goodbye orange rain Help me forget a man named Charlie Trying to put me in the grave Yesterday I aimed at shadows © 2009 Chester Farrar

Hello Chester, I'm going to assume you are a vet, and if so, thank you for your service. Wow, what a powerful story song. Very emotional. I like the music/melody, goes well with the words. I look forward to your song when it's finished. Thank you for sharing. ~Marilyn Marilyn thanks for the listen glad you liked it, I'm not a vet but everybody on my dad's side was. My dad served close to 30 years, and I know a bunch of vets. No matter the politics I believe you have to stand behind them. I was on the same track but when I was a junior in high school my dad was diagnosed with ALS, so I stayed home to take care of him, no regrets. I was hoping to get this turned around but the learning curve in BIAB has me flustered and now I have to put some things off because of by-pass surgery. If I don't take care of it there's a chance, I lose my legs. Thanks again for the listen.
