My newest and one I wrote hopefully to get a placement in sync (tv-film) It is already on hold by Alex Johnston of CMI Music Group (thru musicxray). Hope it goes forward somewhere. https://on.soundcloud.com/jxxiyI’m Not Caged – My mind was broken Shackled to a room I didn’t notice the chain ‘Til I finally moved Lift: Can’t imprison me I’m no longer caged Can’t condition me I’m no longer caged Chorus: I’m not caged I won’t be afraid Not caged … Won’t be locked away I’m … not … caged I’m not caged In that state of mind I had been condemned I didn’t feel the bars “Til I pushed against them Lift: Can’t imprison me I’m no longer caged Can’t condition me I’m no longer caged Chorus: I’m not caged I won’t be afraid Not caged … Won’t be locked away I’m … not … caged I’m not caged Bridge: 2X I’ve got my wings Feel my rage I’ve broken free Time to swing my blade Final Lift: Can’t imprison me Can’t condition me Chorus: I’m not caged I won’t be afraid Not caged … Won’t be locked away I’m … not … caged I’m not caged I won’t be afraid Not caged … Won’t be locked away I’m … not … caged I’m not caged (c)Marilyn Oakley BMI

Wow....times ten thousands wow's. deeply intense and so unique. vocals are phenomenal and the story wails out to the listener. this is not just another track it's a roaring train ripping up all the tracks out there. Powerful anthem for all women who feel this way for whatever reason. i was deeply moved. "We are caged by our own ribs, we are caged by societies boundaries, we are caged by detrimental labels that others place on us. but in our soul no cage can hold us. Write on....right on....righteously, Marilyn. Vote out the cages, vote out the wardens and those who keep us from true freedom, walk away from those who cage your love. Ignore those who are cagey, There are no bars to being yourself. break the chains and run joyously anywhere you want. Thank you, MFB. 😊💕

"Defeatist Pessimists and Rose Colored Glasses Optimists are lonely companions, victims even. Both ideologies imply predestined outcomes, and therefore breed inactivity in its victims. Inaction is the only sure way to lose at anything in life. All positive action guarantees at least a fighting chance." -Brian Austin Whitney
