The goal of our "Song Challenges" is to write songs/lyrics on demand within set parameters. We don't critique each other's songs in this thread (but you can say you like someone's song if you want to.) Please post your original works. If you have already written a song/lyric that fits within the parameters, please feel free to post it.

This could be fun. The challenge this time is to describe someone famous in a song OR someone fairly well known from the JPF boards but don't say who it is. You must give clues in the lyrics. Please indicate at the beginning of the post whether it is a famous person or a JPF person to help us out a little.

When she isn't waitin' tables
When she gets behind that mic she really shines
She lives for karaoke nite
With her dreams that reach a mile high
She’s a karaoke faithful do or die

Another Friday nite and she’s really beat
She had pulled a double shift
But she ducks into the restroom
And she touches up her lips

Cos the DJ just announced again that it’s karaoke nite
And she’s had her song picked out for weeks as she waits beneath the lights...

She’s a karaoke faithful
When she isn't waitin' tables
When she gets behind that mic she comes alive
She lives for karaoke nite

Seems her reputation got around
When two men in suits came in, sat down
And their ears confirmed the rumors that they heard
The next day when she served them lunch
They said “we’d really like to sign you up”
The deal was sealed by time she served dessert!

Once a karaoke faithful
She’s no longer waitin’ tables
Seems her luck had finally taken quite a turn
Now she’s singin’ for the big crowds
But it hasn’t made her so proud
That she won’t do karaoke now and then
She’s a karaoke faithful to the end
