I am participating in the FAWM again this year, or going to attempt to.  This is fresh ink...an old idea but newly finished...  I hear this as country, like something in the Kellie Pickler, Carrie Underwoord or Gretchen Wilson style, musically, but it could lean towards rock like a Kelly Clarkson style though some of the language gravatates towards country. I think that this is missing spunk and attitude -- LOL! I'm really liking the ENERGY here!
A few things I noticed...I wasn't sure whether the cutting off the hair line was too drastic? I don't THINK that many women would do that?
In Rise One...I would think that the guy might be wishing that she'd be blue and crushed, but I don't think that they'd be hoping too much for the revenge part -- seems like they might dread that!
The "not your better half" -- seems like maybe it's the opposite -- she was his better half?
Also, the tag lines seem like they're at odds with each other -- maybe it should be "I'll do fine without you/BECAUSE I'M MADE LIKE THAT."

Michael, Yes I took some of her suggestions and since made some more changes lyrically to make her not seem as weak...the mp3 is on the board now...though very rough
