I wrote this a while back, for a friend who was supporting me when i was in Iraq. she liked it soo much she learned to play the guitar, and formed a band and recorded it. Her Daughter as an Anniversary gift to her, used a buch of family pictures to make this video. I love it, and wanted to share it with you. http://youtu.be/iyY3dppzhRQ thanks for watching -steve

Geez, I've heard songs get compliments before but that takes the cake No wonder - that's a good one - catchy and a great hook! Nice to see you on the forum again, Steve. Scott

Scott,
I asked her to share personal information with me. I asked for catchphrases or sayings. something that stands out. it kind of wrote itself. But she wanted to play it to him in a room full of friends and family. It may never be a hit, but they love it. Thanks for the listen and comment. I hope you are doing great! steve

Stan, You are too kind. I wrote this for her and her hubby, not thinking that it could be an anthem for other folks. The fact that she is in the recording (playing acoustic guitar) Inspires me. It motivates me to try to do something else.
Big Guy Hugs Steve

Hey Sofa,
I'm not so much into the "family photo album" kinda stuff, but I have to say, that what I saw was just great.
That's so very cool that a songwriter can be a presence in their stuff, and just make everything that much better.
Kudos !
cheers, niteshift
PS - It just is really sums it up.

Kimberly,
I wish i could take credit for singing. This was recorded in New Jersey while i was in Iraq, or i may have been invited to the recording studio. Thanks for taking a listen, and the time to comment. Tell Greensboro I said hi.

Lyrical Lynn,
You must be so proud to have a Devil Dog for a son. He stood on the same foot prints that i did. Even though the training has changed, the legacy is the same. Thanks for taking a look and commenting. This song is one of the prettiest i have put to music thus far. Thanks again my friend!
cheers steve

Thanks For the listen and response. It is such a personal song for my friend, but i like that people could possibly call it "their song" and dance to it. (something you won't get on the radio now a days) I am glad to be haome and to retire here in 2014 (God willing)
Cheers steve
