I wrote this with the thought of it making it into the World War Z movie that i am waiting on with baited breath. i have audio, but forgot how to add stuff to my sound click account. Youtube link. http://youtu.be/8u5MHUcCE_Y I, Zombie (Words and music by Stephen Bixby all rights reserved) V1. You call me monster, You don’t know me Want to beat me down and control me But I’m hungry, and I’m coming Tried to fight me off, now you’re running. And I don’t stop, it’s my mission It’s your destiny and my prison And I’m stumblin’ and I’m stinking Need to taste it need to sink my teeth in you Cause I, I zombie do not feel the pain you inflict on me And I, I zombie, am walking on the darker side…. And you can run away but you can’t hide from me I will hunt you down until you become me And when you open up your eyes then you will see I zombie. V2. Can’t explain it, got no vision Just my instinct, makes decisions Try to call out, makes your ears sore With my moaning, getting closer And you can’t fight and you can’t win We got numbers and we’re coming. When you’re screaming, calls us all in All that I was, I’ve forgotten/ Cause I, I zombie do not feel the pain you inflict on me And I, I zombie, am walking on the darker side… And you can run away but you can’t hide from me I will hunt you down until you become me And when you open up your eyes then you will see I zombie.

Hi Steve, very well written and a completely different theme from the usual genre on the forum. Sorry can't help with the sound click, but I wish you success with the film and the song. Regards Travis

Dave,
Thanks for the look/see. i'll try to do a cheesy photograph video and i'll post it on youtube and send the link on this thread. might do it tonight. I liked how it came out, but i would like it more if a better musician would do it. Thanks again.

Travis,
Thanks for taking the time to read it. I stopped posting for a while because i just didn't feel like i "fit in" but a couple friends of mine let me know that my difference is what made me belong. I had a producer that i was pitching to, but i never got any feedback, so i am guessing he didn't like it. I would like to have a broadcast quality song before next summer.
cheers steve

Hi Stephen, First I want to say welcome back even though I don't remember you! Being different is what makes this forum interesting, it would be very boring if we all wrote the same thing. As for the song it certainly is different! What type of music do you have for this? I imagine it would be rock? I don't have any suggestions for you without hearing it, but I would love to hear it. We have to get you set up on soundclick. Do you have a soundclick page and you're just having trouble posting the songs? I know I still have trouble posting a song if it's been a while since I posted one. Let us know what the problem is exactly and I'm sure we can walk you though it. Dottie

Hey Stephen, Enjoyed the read, although there is one rhyme I think could be improved; keep or sweep V2. Try to call out, makes your ears soreWith my moaning, getting closer

MFB...
Thanks for taking the time to read this out. I don't post songs that i am unsure of anymore. If i recognize that it needs help, then it doesn't leave my labroatory..(Bwa ha ha ha ) and this one has been rewritten about a hundred times. It is the effect of last year's Walking Dead tv show, and the dreams it produced.

Dottie,
You don't remember me because you registered in 2010, and my last post was in 2008. I had a group of folks that would post stuff, and say they wanted an honest crit, and then get offended when i was brutally honest. So I figured i was too abrasive, but that is how the industry is. so i stopped helping those people specifically, and then they would say things and try to start fights on my threads. I swear it was like Junior high. so i bowed out. Brian asked me to try it again, so here i am.
I kindof recorded this with a post apocalyptic devil-may-care grundge style behind it. and it isn't close to how i would want it to be when finished.
cheers steve
Thanks for the read and comments. I'll have the audio up in a couple days, i started a Moviemaker video. and i want it right if i am going to post it. I haven't logged on to soundclick since 2007, i don't have my login, or password and nobody every went to my site anyway. i'll use youtube instead.

R, Shayne,
Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. I wasn't too hip on that particular rhyme either. After all the rewrites I had completed, because it sings better than it reads i decided to leave it. I always appreciate a hard crit, so please don't hesitate if you seeone of my posts.
cheers steve

Cindy,
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. I am a zombie fan, and i have read and watched almost every medium having to do with the genre. When i heard that Max Brooks's Book "World War Z" was going to be made into a movie i got right to work writing. (i write better with a goal in mind) and the outcome is what you see here.
Cheers Steve

Robert,
It is inevitable to those of us who've spent too much time watching old zombie movies... If it's dope, don't tell uncle sam... he tests me every month...

Roy,
Thanks for the read and comment. The concept of a zombie intrigues me. I would so love to have it attached to that movie.
