I want to do appropriate beats that connect in some pop songs I am working on. I put up my link in the mp3 forum. I like some eighties rock and new wave and have an affection for classic rock. The songs I have need kind of a sprite simple beat yet with a feel. Is there any covers or songs like that from members here that can be suggested for practice?

Listen to The Feelies. Listen to Devo.
Those are pretty oddball bands that still had a pop feel, but with really interesting drumming.

Thanks pop todd. Devo. Love their stuff.
The Feelies I am not that familiar with and will seek them out.
I can't drum a plaintive beat that well.
I remember you on here from being a member in the past. I'm going to look toward your posts.
