"I Must Have You"
I like the way you're leaning And the way you call my name I'm pretty sure you are perfect And I may never walk the same But the wait's come to pass I must have you
Chorus: Feels like I'm walking on air When I'm with you Don't care what anyone says Cause I must have you Nobody should try to stop me From getting my dream shoes Cause I must have you
I like the way you hold me And you'll never let me down I'll take good care of you And make sure you outlast every one You were made for me and you know it too
(Chorus)
Bridge: You made my waiting all worth the while And everybody's noticing my big ole smile Cause I'm happy now
(Chorus)

I Must Have You
I like the way you're MOVing And the way you SAY my name YES I'm THINKING you’RE perfect I may never walk the same IT’S TIME TO SAY I must have you
Chorus: YOU HAVE ME walking on air WHEN I'm CLOSE TO you I Don't care what THEY say YES I must have you IT’LL BE HARD to stop me From WALKING IN dream shoes YES I must have you
I like the way you hold me I FEEL YOU WON’T let me down I THINK YOU FEEL THE SAME WAY I KNOW YOU’LL ALWAYS BE ‘ROUND IT’S TIME I SAY I must have you
(Chorus) YOU HAVE ME walking on air WHEN I'm CLOSE TO you I Don't care what THEY say YES I must have you IT’LL BE HARD to stop me From WALKING IN dream shoes YES I must have you
OUTRO My waiting HAS BEEN worth while ALL FRIENDS SEE my BIG smile Cause I'm happy now NOW I HAVE YOU.....NOW I HAVE YOU.....

well, I like your suggestions but that wouldn't fit the story I was telling. for instance, in the first line, the shoes are on display and she's been waiting to get her money so she can buy them. It's not a serious subject though the title suggests so. But I'll check again on your suggetsions

Pnmuru, Nice start here. Admittedly I initially concluded your were writing about a girl/guy relationship and not a girl/shoe (or guy/shoe?) one. But because of that it makes for a really cool story. You brought out a love for a pair of shoes like going after a serious relationship. Nicely done. Peace Dave

thank you, Dave. Yea, You got it. it is about a shoe and its not a guy/girl relationship. Most of my lyrics are like this but people misinterpret them and don't seem to get them.

Hi Pnmuru Welcome to the site and the lyric forum. Smooth stuff, did you have a nice R&B melody in mind when you wrote it? Good to see a good mix of lyrics doing the rounds. Best wishes Travis

Well thank you, Travis. I'm not sure what genre this falls under but I just write whatever ideas come to mind. I was thinking country cause that's what I write mostly ad pop/Rock.

Pnmuru, I once wrote a song about a train letting you down so I certainly won't question a song about a pair of shoes that lift you up. The subject matter is pretty unique. And there's an innocence to the lyrics that is appealing. Set it to music and let's see how it sounds.
