When Michael asked me to produce this, I prayed about it and went to the Bible for help. In Psalms, it says "...sing unto him with the psaltery..." Years ago, we bought our daughter a psaltery, a plucked stringed instrument, of ancient origin, shaped like a small hammered dulcimer. That's the high string instrument throughout this piece. I want to thank Michael for the opportunity and the blessing this song has become. http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_8917978

Very nice gentlemen. I can hear the psaltery since it has a distinctive sound. I wonder if you or Michael could post the lyrics. Would love to see a picture of the psaltery (boy I'm getting demanding in my old age.) Rapture ready, Lynn

The Production is a bit dense and could be a lot clearer.

Thanks Lynn, Michael didn't put lyrics on the Reverbnation site. Psalteries come in different shapes and sizes. The common feature is that it is a flat box, but the sides may form a triangle, trapezoid, or even curved outlines. Here is one with a link to its sound: http://www.music.iastate.edu/antiqua/psaltery.htmRay, sorry I hope it fit through your wires and didn't get your speakers dirty.

Well, The Psalterie looks like a Pre-Zither. No doubt a Primiative instrument. And no doubt the Rapture, whatever that is, is comeing now in November? Can I have your car when the Rapture comes?

Thanks, Ray. You Can Have My Car When the Rapture Comes (c) 2011 words and music by Mike Dunbar You can have my car when the rapture comes, You're gonna need it, I hope it runs, Down here on earth, there'll be no fun You can have my car when the rapture comes He'll descend from the clouds with a shout And the world will no longer have a doubt They'll all be looking for a church come the next dawn But we'll be gone You can have my car when the rapture comes, You're gonna need it, I hope it runs, Down here on earth, there'll be no fun You can have my car when the rapture comes No one can predict when he'll arrive It's foolish for someone to even try But he left us with some keys to the door Matthew twenty four You can have my car when the rapture comes, You're gonna need it, I hope it runs, Down here on earth, there'll be no fun You can have my car when the rapture comes So don't worry, cause you won't have to go You can stay here with my car and all my dough But when things down here start getting bad You'll wish you had You can have my car when the rapture comes, You're gonna need it, I hope it runs, Down here on earth, there'll be no fun You can have my car when the rapture comes
