Hi guys and girls, been awhile... been stuck behind this yellow bus forever, ended up doing a consultation with Bill Renfrew, well several actually. I drove him crazy with this song, lol.. He worked as hard as I did on it and earned a co-write. I would recommend his service to anyone, just leave your ego at the door http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=100639&songID=10715791

Well, I think this is a concept/idea that deserved a lot of work, sweat and toil. It was great from day one and as it has evolved, it has changed focus and story lines -- but it has always been fascinating.
I am glad that it is you and not me who is deciding what to throw out and what to keep in -- every single version has been a keeper in my opinion.
Kevin

Hi Glyn, thanks Kevin, yeah man this has been a roller coaster ride with the story-line...

Hey I liked this! Good words, good storyline flow and if I had to suggest anything at all, I would have liked to see one (just one) transition line added or substituted between the first verse (STUCK behind the bus) and the second (where they were Jesse James and G.I Joe, etc., and riding IN the bus) so that we could first be put into the bus to better understand the scene of them in it as kids. Then the line about them riding in their yellow limousine would have fit in more smoothly.
But that's just a little thing, nice song!
Best Regards and Aloha,
Charlie

Hi Louis, good work indeed Bill's very good at this stuff. I worked with him on 2 songs; for one reason or another, he doesn't answer my emails any more. Seems like he bears me a grudge or something, can't see why for the life of me But I appreciated working with him. If you could decide him to explain me why he doesn't seem to like me any more, LOL ... He doesn't say a song is finished unless it's finished and that's a great thing. Yours is ready Hope you have a great day, Yann

Look what the cat dragged in! You already know I like this version I'm like Kevin - I thought each version was good and probably would have called it done. But I think this one is the strongest. LOL - you're not making it easy for those of us who struggle over deciding whether a song is done or not Good to see you back! Scott

Hi Louis Golly gosh, were you been hah, we've missed you around here. I always love listening to your songs, I love your voice. I never rode in a yellow bus, our school bus was red, love what you've done, thoroughly enjoyed my listen, and thanks for reminding me of the good times I had in my child hood. Hi Louis and Bill, So glad to see you posting again and that you made it safely through that tornado that came too close for comfort (Scott kept us up to date)!!! I remember this song from before and remember taking a shine to it, but I would love to see the lyrics if possible. I walked to grade and high school, but for so many alot of time can be spent on those yellow buses creating alot of memories. Interesting how you started the story with being stuck behind one prompting the walk down memory lane. Nice cowrite. Best, Lynn

Hi Lynn, rode the bus for awhile, then moved to town, so I rode my bike or walked most the time the lyrics are on the same page as the mp3, the link's at the top.

Louis,
Wonderful story! You told it in a very conversational way that made it easy to listen to and quit memorable. Thanks for sharing.
