HOW ABOUT THIS JUST IN .... Motif Music Awards were held last night in Pawtucket, RI Wanted to let you know I was voted Best Singer/Songwriter, Americana!!! YAY!! Thank you to my friends for your support  It is an honor and a ton of fun  THANK YOU~ ... and the proud mama can say my son's band, Three Tall Pines was voted Best Bluegrass Band All the best, Joanne ********************************************************* THIS JUST IN .. VOTING ENDS MAY 20TH  thank you, Joanne ********************************************************* Hi friends I wanted to let you know I have been nominated again in this year's Motif Music Awards. I am very excited because this year's nomination is for Americana "Singer/Songwriter" .. a testimony to what i love to do. The open mic I host has been nominated "Best Open Mic" ~ ON THE DOCK GRILL, this is exciting because this was a new venture for me, a nice outlet for original music.. Oh Harriet!! I am so happy to read your post! You know, I was hesitant to post the info, didn't want anyone to think i was pushing on them; but! I hate after the fact to hear.. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!?!??!" So,i figured I'd just put the info out there and folks could do as they choose Thank you!!! I am so proud of the open mic .. I was really nervous about doing it at first .. I had and still have a lot to learn about running sound .. I have met so many new and wonderful artists .. i LOVE having new players come each week .. love watching players perfecting their performance .. there is so much to enjoy! I .. RI Songwriters Association was so impressed with the open mic they asked if they could "sponsor" it .. It didn't change my open mic, but was nice to have their blessing and also added PRESS .. very nice thank you for your kind words and encouragement Joanne
