This simple piece of pure Lennon gold is a good tune for bass players to practice octives and go for a singing tone. The lyrics pertain to Lennon the human, the music reflects Lennon's soul, and the final product is typical of how the Beatles melted it all together. http://www.youtube.com/user/solowbass"Two on Tonic" and "Always use headphones"

Paul, I always enjoy these bass runs you post. It's interesting to see and hear how you add the bass to these songs. Are you doing the charted bass lines or improvising? I don't much about music but those bass lines can really bring out a lot in a song. I really enjoy listening to your lessons. Keep it up.

Thanks Dan. Sir Paul has been teaching me for 40 years and I just try and put in my own "Two cents"... by ear. I also think that there are a lot of fine fine play alongs, demos, lessons, or whatever on the internet, but for my ears, 90% of them have their bass WAY too much in the background in their mix. I want to not only hear what a guy/gal is playing, I want to hear their sound too. Thanks again.
Paul

Nice Paul
Very cool thanks for sharing these. McCartney is the man and helped pioneered actually bringing bass to the attention of the mainstream world.
Appreciated this,
Mike

Thanks Mike. We're visiting my olderst boy in Manhattan April 22-24. My 17 yr. old boy is looking into music for college. He's a keyboard player-B3. I'm sure he'd get a kick out of seeing your studio with me. Any chance we can get together for an hour or so? I'd love to sit in with a band someplace too.
