Beautiful song. Do you plan to keep it instrumental? I like how you have the programmed drums in the background, not calling attention to themselves but adding a nice rhythmic touch. Good job.

Thanks finleysound. Happy you like it, You have an impressive studio! just a dream for me, my studio consists of a PC with MixCrafs and a Korg K-25 and a Yamaha guitar only My iMac is broken so I must use a PC :-(
You ask if I want to keep it instrumental?
No if someone want to put lyric and voice on it they welcome to do so :-)

Thanks about the studio.
Maybe you'll find a taker on the forum! I think the song could work either way - with or without vocals.

Hi Tom, This is very pretty, I do hope you get a lyric to go with it, it will make a beautiful song, though it's very nice like this. Dottie

finleysound can I ask you a pro question about my mix and Mastering on my song? is it OK? I see on your site you do mastering job, I just wonder if my is OK Tom, You are pretty close. Here are a couple of suggestions. 1) The bass needs to come down, at least a couple of dB. It is overpowering. 2) The main melody played by the electric piano (?) is uneven in volume. In places it is too loud, in other not loud enough. Inserting a compressor would help this. It also distorts in a couple of places which is a drag. This might take re-recording the part, or maybe you are just overloading the channel when mixing. 3) The whole mix could be a tad brighter. This is usually best addressed at the individual track level and a few EQ tweaks would be all that is needed. Just find the sweet spot for each instrument and boost those frequencies a little bit to brighten things up. 4) For your genre, I think the overall level is fine. You could compress a dB or two on the master buss to help meld the track together and make it sound more cohesive. Add a little limiting if you want the track to sound louder - but not too much! I hope that helps. If you need more detailed explanations let me know. Matt

I am an amateur who just make music for fun, but want to do it well anyway, I can not take notes and know what the notes called, I just follow my feeling for the melody I try to do what you said and if you want you can listening to my try on this site. http://www.4shared.com/audio/o6ndjJxQ/Hand_Flow_new_remix.htmlThanks for your time and help Tom

Nice work on this one, Tom A beautiful sound scape. I think you did a fine job with the mix, as well. I'm sure someone will put lyrics to it. A lot of folks sing but don't play... maybe you can put it up on a collaboration board. Sounds good as it is.
