I'm home now, and wanted to get this song posted since i've had it several weeks, it's a collab with FAWMER punter Joe, he cowrote the lyrics and did the music and vocals, didn't want him to think I don't like it, cause I like it alot. This is a song that I wrote with my 14 year old grandson,, don't have the updated lyric, will have to sit down tomorrow and run through it several times and will post it then..thanks, glyn Girl, How Do I http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10397610 Yea!!!! Now with posted lyrics Girl, How Do I Hey girl……...I’ve tried to talk to you How and where……....do I find the perfect words When I think of you……...don’t know what to do Got me feeling like some kind of lovesick hopeless fool. I’d really like to get to know you My home boys won’t let me be They need to get a life,….... don’t have a clue They need to grow up.…….. Let me set my feelings free Chorus How do I walk up to you With your friends always there How do I get you alone To tell you that I care How do I ask you out With this fear inside of me How Do I…How Do I Girl …………………How Do I I waited all day …for school to end Had the words memorized....in the back of my mind Walked outside to find you,…. in the arms of my best friend I told him how I felt,…. how could I’ve been so blind How can a friend turn his back on you I’ve told him everything, how you make me feel Who wants a friend ………... not straight up true Where‘s the trust…..a heart’s that real Chorus How do I walk on by Not wanting to beat him up How do I hold these feelings inside My heart wants to cry All I’ve thought about… is you by my side How do I act like it’s nothing How Do I….How Do I Girl…………………….How Do I I know that this ain't just infatuation It's something that could last way after graduation But girl tell me how to get through to you When I always choke and don't know what to do I don't like seeing those other guys Talking to you, just spreading their lies I know for a fact they don't see, what it is girl that I see They could never be what you'd have in me How do I kick the fear aside Is there something that I havent tried I should just be me and speak But being around you girl makes me weak I know that I've got Heaven to lose How do I stop being confused Girl how do I How Do I Girl How Do I How Do I Tell me girl...How Do I written by glynda duncan/grandson Scotty Harris/fawmer Joe Cumberland music and vocals by Joe Cummerland known as punter joe

Hey Glyn Welcome Home! You must be proud of your grandson. I think the ideas are good and relative too many. I really liked the production alot as well, there's some nice stuff going on in there. The only thing if you wanted revisit later down the road is the vocal. A better vocal would give this much more appeal. Mike

Hey,
You had a good FAWM didn't you? It's always nice having your stuff set to music and I like the musical treatment here. Good collab.

Hey Glynda, This is very cool. I think it's great your grandson is writing with you too, none of my family is interested in writing and it's about all I want to do. Very nice song! Dottie

Glynda I think it's great that you have a common interest with your grands.
This will make a good pop song.
Cool music as well. Good luck with it.

Hmmmm, never heard the word "squing" but this song has potential. Yeah, the singer was pitchier than a baseball player, but everything else was moving right along! Definitley needs to be sung by a younger person since it deals with "high school stuff". A girl could sing it and you could change it to "Boy, How Do I".

yeah new word i've made up...squing, meaning eyes trying to leave the eye ball area.....and this song came about when scotty asked me how could he get this girl alone long enough to talk to her, she was always around her friends....so here's scotty's take on it with my help, now with Joe Cummberland's help too..I love the music on it....thanks Polly for checking it out for us. glyn

Glynda, This song reveals the power of collaboration. This FAWM thing seems to be a great boost to your writing. I hope you get better and continue to put emotions and feelings into words and songs.

I am sure you are very pleased to write a song with your grandson. It is a good bonding experience. The singer, well...needs to maybe come down a notch, I wish I could see the lyrics, but other than this, its pretty darn good. I am glad you are still able to write and are keeping your spirit. I admire your strength. HUGS

Glynda ...
Hey this is very good! I am thoroughly enjoying the song. The melody is memorable! The chorus is strong.
Wished you had the lyrics so I could follow closely! Hope you post them soon.
Great job to you and grandson...I am hoping one day I'd write something with my grand-daugher (who, at 5, is already composing her own stuff). Thanks for the inspiration!
Most enjoyable!
Stan
