Hi Roy:
Congratulations on a thread "going nearly viral" here at JPF. We may need to promote you to "Director of Marketing!" It really is a nice accomplishment and obviously many of our members and guests have enjoyed all the great "listens."
I had seen your original post but since I have nothing on soundclick, I just went about my usual routine... but I was listening to a collaborative song earlier today and at least wanted folks to know I had the privilege to co-write with Bill Osofsky a couple of times. He did the lyrics and I "musicated" them for him and provided vocals. That talented guy is super-prolific and a real pleasure to work with. The song in particular is named "Need You Next to Me" and I'll try to figure out a clean and simple way to post it on this thread.
Again, congratulations Roy! Great idea.
Dave

I just talked to Moker Jarrett and he will record/produce the final demo of our worktape for "Shenandoah River" in April.
Moker has been busy with training to become a licensed securities trader. He says that is alot of work and has pretty well absorbed him when he is not gigging with his band in the Jacksonville,Florida area.
I told him that demo singer Heather Morris had gone off to Vet School.
And I myself have chosen a new career where I can make money and meet women...
I have decided to become an Avon Lady...Gotta hit the thrift shops in search of dresses and wigs..But eventually it should be very lucrative and fun..
wish me luck!

Hey Tom:
Would ya like us to start scouring for a wig for ya? Blonde, Redhead or Brunette??? LOL!
"Avon calling," he says... as he grabs his skirt to prevent a "wardrobe malfunction!" Gee whiz, the things we do to support our addiction to music!
Well, I gotta admire your grit! Best of luck Marine!

I just added mine and Roger's new song, 'Timeless In My Mind' to our list of collaborations.
Also though it would be good to bump this for the benefit of new members or those who just want to listen to some really great collaborations.

What a great thread. I've collabed with a whole bunch of folks here, and MATE what a great experinece. From full tracking songs with Mark K and Letha, and T-bob and Yann, and small parts like doing some drums with Colin, and a sax part for Scott C, grabbed some bass lines from both the Mike's, written some backing music for an acapella song with Tams, asked for and got permission to use some tracks to be used in a film script from Joe W and Scott C and others ( still in development LOL ), swapped film scripts with Midnite for peer review, got Linda A to do some line proof reading for me ( still owe ya ) done a couple of songs which went no further or didn't work out, ( but that's life ), got to co-write a song with a deceased JPF member, Dawg, thanks to the graciousness of Bobby G and Dawgs estate, got sent a great song pre-release form Jody which will be a winner one day, had a great fight with Brian over wether or not you can get live studio drum tracks ( 8 part ) for $29.95, told MAB that the world does not live around Twang Town, put a blast of cold air up Big Jim's kilt and told Johnny D he drinks too much "coffee", had the great experience of reviewing and publishing album critiques like the one from Joanne L with Mike D as the producer, I get to play and promote Mokers' "Weekend Blitz" 'round my swimming pool to unsuspecting pro guests ( they never recover ) and am currently working on an interview with Glyn's new JPF radio interview series ....... and the list goes on. So, um, just as it's title says, there's a lot of collab stuff going on...... and all in all I'd have to say it's been a very pleasurable experience thus far...... How can a non-performing songwriter have so much fun ? Beats me........ Here's a big thumbs up to the folks of JPF who just put a smile on your dial. cheers, niteshift

I have a question. As far as my eye can see, the last posted item for this topic was on the tenth of February. How come it shows up now on the "what's going on board". What about all the collabs that have happened since February, six months ago????? Am I missing something here? Vic

Vic there are two above you that were posted today. One from me and one from niteshift.
When this subject goes off the front board I always leave it a while before bumping it with another collaboration or just for bumps sake.
If someone comes on and edits their personal list of collabs, it dosnt go to the 'whats on' cause its an edit.
Does that help.

Not really Roy. All I see is when I log in is "what's on now" If that isn't "what's on now" I think I and others need educating. Vic

Hi folks... here is the first of three that myself and Jackie Richter have collaborated on. I have to say thanks to JPF (Brian) for being here so that people like myself and Jackie could meet and produce something, that otherwise would maybe not see the light of day. I have added it to my list as well. We hope that you enjoy. Just Remembered another one: When JPF did a Roadshow (in 2002 or 3) and came to Austin. They had an event at The Broken Spoke where I met Brian Austin Whitney and JPF Mentor Harold Payne. http://www.haroldpaynemusic.com/songwriter I kept in touch with Harold over the years, visited him several times when I came to LA. Several years ago we cowrote "Die Young" http://www.songramp.com/mod/mps/viewtrack.php?trackid=83697

There may be some dead links now, this topic has been going for a while. (It's over 173,000 views), which must be a good thing for those who have added their collaborations.
You never know who is looking.

A LOT of people READ this site everyday... 100,000's of thousands. They can't sign up because it is broke, but the traffic is out there. That is why I wanted to keep the top 10 songs of the month going.

Its been 11 months since I last bumped this so that new and older members can look at some of the great collaborations that have happened because of JPF.
Maybe some members can add their own collaborations to the topic.
Some links may not work, if the writers have removed or relocated their collaborations.

Its been quite a while (couple of years I think) since I last bumped this so that new and older members can look at some of the great collaborations that have happened because of JPF.
Maybe some members can add their own collaborations to the topic.
Some links may not work, if the writers have removed or relocated their collaborations.
We have lost some treasured writers along the way who are missed.
Nevertheless, the songs still exist as a testament to what can be achieved when ordinary people join together.
Still some great collaborations here. Please add your own or update links.
I have updated my collaborations to show the videos where a video exists.
Enjoy.
God Bless to all.

There's quite a history of music, but sadly so many of the hosting sites closed and took the music with them. I tried to set up a way to upload songs here but I couldn't get it to work beyond photos. I am hoping we can raise some money in 2021 to build our website again with the ability to host files. The danger is people uploading stuff they don't own. I have no way to police it. If anyone knows how some of those old sites were able to avoid liability, please let me know. Thank you Roy for bumping this!
