I got a phone call this morning from a co-writer whom I wrote and produced a song with. Turns out the song was for a major publisher / library. The collection of 6 CDs was released 3 months ago. Our particular song has been licensed over 100 times in that short 3 months. The complete collection has had a total of 880+ licenses in that time. Thus our tune is outperforming the rest of the library having licensed so many times.
This is insanely great news to wake up too.
The even better part is: I co-engineered the tracking. I also did the mix of the song.
More good news to come.

Stan - It's a biggun. APM / Universal.
Colin - There's a vocal version and an instrumental version and all the other edits for the various time lengths of it as well. Library/production music has a very defined set of edits.

100 licenses in 3 months! Whoo hoo, thats a moneymaker right there. Will certainly pull up the average on your catalog, I'll bet.
