Hi Tammy & Rod I'm very much looking forward to listening to your completed version, I'm impressed with what you already have, it's a real credit to both of you. Tammy, yes it would be difficult with your youngest being only two, so I understand. What I can tell you is, it's certainly different singing with a band, then singing with a backing track. I'm having lots of fun, and I'm finally getting the hang of singing with the band, and the band is getting used to me too. This Aussie girl has lots going on here, lots to tell you both, but I just haven't found much time at all to jump on the boards, and at present my eye's are getting very heavy, so I'm off to bed, but I will next week hey. Take care, hugs Michele

Watch out, folks... Andy just open up a can of something... Tammy As I listening, it's feels like I'm witnessing the birth of something enormously, special. I knew when you started combining music to your vocals it would be something to behold. Hold on, it only gets better from here. Great Job Nelson

I was waiting for the vocal to lift in the third line. Caroline, You and I are good at finding the things that are bugging us in our songs, we will have to work together some day since we are on the same page. Thanks, Tammy

Hey Tammy, you hit it just right like I knew you would. I love the latest rendition.
Andy, I hope your guitar is alright since you tore it up on this song. Sounded almost Claptonesque.
I find it strange that I would ever think that there would be too much Tammy. The mix sounds a bit heavy on the vocal but aside from that it is a fantastic bluesy number. Great journey from beginning to end.
Rod, that lyric is right as rain.

Andy,
Wanted to publicly say what I privately told you. Are you kidding me? That music is freaking great! Your guitar solo was fantastic as was the rest of your playing. Thank you doesn't begin to say what I feel. You and Tammy not only brought the words to life, you made them fly. Thank you so very, very much!

I am late to the game but wanted to say that I think all of you have made this a spectacular song. Amazing to think that without each of you working together, it never would have been born. Congrats!

Such a great song and another great collaboration. Perhaps you could add it to my thread "Successful Collaborations on JPF - The Resulting Songs" for others to enjoy as well. http://www.jpfolks.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/803303/page/2#Post803303The thread is on page two I think under general God Bless Roy and Helen

Glad you like the final track. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=1038504&songID=9619691It was great fun working with Rod and Tammy I just can't believe that no one has ever tried to write music to one of Tammy's vocals before. She's got perfect timing and her pitch is spot on. Hats of to Rod for writing a great lyric and coming up with a great bridge. Rgds Andy

Tammy As I listening, it's feels like I'm witnessing the birth of something enormously, special. Nelson, I'm not sure what it is, but for me, I am just so happy that someone could hear me. Andy heard me and the music in my head and now everyone for the first time can judge me on the whole song. I am convinced that I am invisible, but when wonderful people like yourself say such beautiful things, I become just that much more real. Thank you for the things you say.... Tammy

A special note to Rod and Andy,
If it isn't clear...
Rod, you are so talented and such a kind person, working with you has been a wonderful experience, you are a great friend.
Andy, I don't say much because everytime I do I cry, beause you might have had fun with the song, you may have liked it in some way and wanted to jam, but to me you brought a dream to life with the most beautiful music and your selflessness and generosity is overwhelming to someone who has been looking for music for a long time. Thank you for saying such nice things about my singing, the music was so fantastic, I was worried that the vocal wouldn't be half as great, but thank you for hearing me. There are no words but you are not only crazy talented, you are a good, kind, caring guy to allow us our moment in the sun.
Thank you both.
Tammy

Thanks Roy it's been great fun working with Tammy and Rod. I guess it sums up what JPF is all about, musicians getting together and creating cool tunes that would never have come to life without the help of fellow JP Folks like Tammy and Rod.
Rgds Andy (looking forward to the next tune)

Real nice work here, folks! Love the way the arrangement builds - and those guitar runs are beautiful. Vocal is super too, Tammy. Only nit is that I thought maybe you could have held the note just a hair longer at the end of some of the lines (particularly the one in the chorus ending in "why"). Is a small nit though - this is really gorgeous and it is a great example of the wonder of the internet. Scott

Wow from the very first note I was hooked. Wonderful song, music and melody are aswesome.
This is so great. I know you had said this was your final version, but I would love to hear the vocals in the chorus mixed with more reverb, harmony, and/or chorus fx.
Anyawy, I agree with Nelson .. you guys did an amazing and special job on this.

Tammy, Rod, Andy, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! This is really a TERRIFIC song. It reminds me of Heart a little, and Pat Benatar, and Tammy: don't sell yourself short, you really have something wonderful there in your vocal. All three of you. This is real synergy at work! I came in late & didn't see it develop but HOW COOL. Now we'll all be wanting Andy to come up with backing tracks I know I do!! This is a perfect example of how JPF works and the beauty & miracle of modern technology putting people together to do great things. SWEET. Really enjoyed it. Keep writing, all of you! Linda

Scott,
Yes, I did that in a few of the recordings, I listened to the first ten recordings of it and picked things I liked and didn't like and it didn't make the cut, but it was considered by me.
I respect your opinions and was so happy you stopped by to take a listen and comment!!

Nice one! I like the words, and the picked guitar part is great. Production-wise I'd say the song would work best in the pop or folk-pop genre. Which means it definitely needs drums - IMO. But your mileage may vary. Regards, Steffen

Oops, yes, indeed there already are drums ... I did not notice them because the guitars are louder than the drums, and I've only listened over the PC speakers while I was browsing the site. ... and I'm too tired. Regards, Steffen

Never go back to acapella. This is absolutely beautiful. Andy created a fantastic track and Rod's lyrics are fantastic too. But it's your melody and voice that really brings this together.
