Here's another one I recently dug up that was never posted before anywhere. I got the idea from a quote of Bob Dylan. He was talking about the typical love song and said "It's all I love you, you love me...Ooka dooka dicka dee."Ooka Dooka Da (c) Steven M. Biederman http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9219322Polite rejection notice In my mail today Said my song had promise Important stuff to say But the record man said I don't want to steer you wrong You want to write a hit Then kid you write a love song Ooka dooka da Dooka dicka dee I love you, you love me That's all the words a love song needs Gonna write a big hit It's showtime for me Appreciate your effort Your song sounds great But not the kind of message That's gonna get air play Gear it to the masses People can relate Elementary level Try about third grade He didn't hurt my feelings I took him at his word And after twenty minutes A song indeed occurred It turned out pretty well Not profound in any way Like the mindless kind of stuff That get's radio play Sex appeal's what matters Our culture's in the dregs But which came first Chicken or the egg Livin like dogs Livin like strays Everybody sniffin butts Everybody humpin legs Ooka dooka da Dooka dicka dee I love you, You love me That's all the words a love song needs If you lack imagination Or if you're just lazy Ooka dooka da Dooka dicka dee I love you, You love me Gonna give em what they want What they think they need make girls 15 to 50 go crazy

HiDee Bro StevieB...
I remember this one from the tape ya kindly gave me Wayyy Back-When~!
It's still Good White Boy Rap...& Lots of FUN!
I'd sug ya go out on your Hook's Couplet with a Fade...It seems to end a bit-"Choppy" as 'tis.
But it's Overall GREAT FUN/Stays "Valid" as all get-out, too!
Good Luck with a Winner, Amigo! Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Stevie,
Now that IS funny and what is really funny that even after...
Everybody sniffin butts Everybody humpin legs
you still chose to catagorize it into contemporary Christian....now that is funny!!
Very entertaining, the only comment I'll make is that the chorus needed a little punch to seperate it from the rest of the song, but always well done and entertaining!!

Funny song Steve. The title made me curious. I'm a big fan of Jimmy Durante. I remember his song "Inka Dinka Doo".

Tammy Thanks Tammy. Glad you got a chuckle from it. The Contemorary Christian catagory was a mistake. Was funny though I must admit. Stevie

That's a cute song! Getting any radio play?
Sad but true.....we are indeed becoming a third grade butt sniffin' society while the competition educates their folks more and more.

Hi Stevie This is a fun little ditty. If you plan to develop it, I hear some girlie vocals doing some ooka dookas in the background on this. I also feel it could do with just a little something (musical bridge) to break it up a bit. Good fun and nice idea. Nige

cool ... even has some rap elements to it ... Thanks Dan. I don't understand where rap comes into the picture but it's been mentioned a couple times now so I guess there is some merit there. Glad you got a smile out of it. Thanks again for the listen and comments. Stevie

Funny song Steve. The title made me curious. I'm a big fan of Jimmy Durante. I remember his song "Inka Dinka Doo". Thanks for stopping by Ben. I well remember that song by Mr. Durante from when I was a kid. My brother and I used to sing parts of it and laugh like crazy. I think it was just the Inka Dinka Doo part cause we didn't know much of the words. Stevie

Hi StevieB,
This is great fun! Ordinarily, I would agree that it needs to be broken up a bit, but it's so short and, after all, "Ooka dooka da Dooka dicka dee I love you, You love me That's all the words a love song needs" So, why complicate things with more music and change-ups? Well done!

Well hi there little_elton_j....
So good to have my partner in crime posting again. This is classic fare from you -- social/musical commentary, delivered with tongue firmly implanted in cheek. This section "says it all":
Sex appeal's what matters Our culture's in the dregs But which came first Chicken or the egg Livin like dogs Livin like strays Everybody sniffin butts Everybody humpin legs
As an aside, I would like to deliver some additional "target audience" info: my 9-year-old son was bopping his head to the music, smiling, and said he hoped it was okay if he liked it better than Mommy's song. Egads, a turncoat under my own roof!
Anyhoo, really enjoyed this morning's romp! Thanks for sharing...
Ciao for now, Bernice
