Your voice is really nice here Naomi. Like the song and the fingerpicking is fine.

How could you not see I've been here, right here all this time right in front of your eyes the one that truly loves you and you were too blind to see

Every time I hear a new tune from you, you have grown in leaps and bounds! Your voice is strong and steady, and your fingerpicking...I'M JEALOUS! You have gotten really good at it. You have done the work and it shows. This is a lovely write too. You said you didn't like the bridge in the shout box, and Sister G had an offering, so maybe that would work, but all around, Naomi, good job!

Hi Naomi
This is the best thing that you have posted to date - imho --- just keep working it -- your pitch is good and it will just get smoother as you gain confidence on singing and picking. Well done. : ) jm

Thank you Stevie I've heard your guitar so if you say it's fine I wont argue! Thank you for listening.
Glynda I'm glad you liked this and thank you for your help on the bridge last night I needed and outside eye on it.
Polly thanks to you too for your help, and I'm really glad you like it.
Joice Thank you for the kind words. I took a break from songwriting and just started working on guitar. While I was doing that I think I realized it was quality not quantity that mattered. (I know I know lol a million people have told me this but I'm hard headed and had to find out for myself I guess) So now instead of putting down 5 songs a week I'd rather just work really hard at one no matter how long it takes to get it perfect. Thank you for listening and I'm glad you liked it.

Hey, your fingerpicking is coming along really nicely, Naomi. Good work! I like the song alot and your vocal sounds good too. Only thing I might experiment with a little is dialing back a little on the power behind it - and make it sound as wistful as the lyric and the guitar part already do. And then maybe dial it back up at the bridge..... Anyway - that's just how I'm hearing it. Might be different from how you do... Keep punching on the fingerpicking - your improvement is dramatic. Scott

Very good job! Fingerpicking fits the prosody of this song! One little tiny nit,...I felt like the bridge should rhyme. Tough rhymes with enough in the following line,...but it left me feeling awkward in the bridge line.
One other thing!? the line, "I've held my tongue for years." Were you in a relationship when you were 4!? Ha! Ha!
Good job! Droptine

Sounds quite fine to me. The singing is strong and the finger picking is coming along nicely. Keep playing.
Who said quality over quantity -- I thought it was quality and quantity!

Scott Thank you for complimenting my finger picking. I've been working really hard to learn new styles so it's nice to know that its starting to pay off. I do agree with you on dialing back the voc some, maybe leaving the chorus a little more powerful than the verse.
Droptine - with the help of Polly and Ms. Glyn the bridge has been rewritten I'll go ahead and show the lyrics even though I don't have the recording to post just yet.
Bridge: Why is it so hard to see I've been here all this time You and I are meant to be This is the love you crave to find
Tank you for listening!
Thanks Kevin for the compliments. I wish I could focus on both quantity and quality but my multi-tasking skills aren't all that great. I get side tracked to easily, lol.

NaomiSue....nice job...if you have the capability with your recorder you should add a slight amount of reverb to your vocal, this will soften the sound alittle more....not alot....your voice is good.....
It's a very nice tune....the bridge change lyric wise was good....keep up the good work....Bob

Naomi This is very well done. I can't add much to what the folks have already said. My only nit is there is not much difference musically and melody between the verse and chorus. It might sound stronger if the chorus is kicked up a notch.
