Here's Razzy singing "My Old Mule" on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sJAcO036uEWe're at Puckett's Grocery in Franklin, just outside of Nashville. Jennifer Brantley joins him in singing. That's Bill Farrar on keyboards, Jim Evans playing drums, Billy McRae on percussion and yours truly on bass.

Hey Mike, I didn't see your glasses case in the shirt pocket. I know, you were wearing them, but where is the case? Jennifer almost looks like Linda McCartney from the video.

Bob, Razzy and I have written dozens of songs together, and he's only cut one so far Send him an mp3 of that song he liked, maybe a couple of times a year. Soulful Voice, thanks. I like soulful voices, they're the best in my book. That's one of the things I really like about Razz, he's full of "feel." Ben, I put my glasses on in the morning and don't take them off except to wash my face until I get ready to sleep at night. Then I perch them on whatever book I'm reading that's on the nightstand. They rarely even get folded, much less put in a case. Yeah, Jennifer does look a little like Linda. She's a good 'un. Kevin and Alan: thanks, gentlemen.

Good stuff, Mike. Thanks for sharing.
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Mike. I thought that it was an inside joke. I remember you joking about the glasses case in a previous thread. Ben

Good Video Mike. Was that the night I was there. I seem to remember him doing that song. And I am sure Jennifer was there that night. I really enjoyed the evening.

You were there that night, Bill. It was a lot of fun. I really like Puckett's. Good food, too! Ben, I forgot about my glass case joke. The truth is, I never use 'em I'll be off to Florida on Saturday to do a gig with Razzy. I know we'll do this song there.

Thanks, Stan. Razzy's the real deal. It's been an honor to work with him over the years. Here's some info on him: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Razzy_Bailey We've got a song now that a major label is pitching to two their artists. Keeping our fingers crossed, LOL. All the Best, Mike

Glad to see this one get a bump. I got a new appreciation for Razzy when I seen him in Franklin but then found out he wrote "Peanut Butter". I never knew that.
